The Fat Controller Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 What kit should we use for Wembley? A - Usual home kit (Stipes) B - New Centenary kit C- A New Yellow kit (remembering Carlisle play in blue) You Decide Personally i'd go with Centenary kit
Minty Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 I thought specific kits had to be registered for use in specific competitions, and that was it? Or was that something I've plucked from my dim and distant past that is no longer relevant?
Matthew Le God Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Personally i'd go with Centenary kit Centenary was in 1985. Next season is 125 year anivesary. Flybe wouldn't allow for a kit without their sponsorship on it in the 2009/10 season.
Saint_clark Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Red and white home kit. I'll have to buy one specifically for the occasion.
saint boggy Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Centenary was in 1985. Next season is 125 year anivesary. Flybe wouldn't allow for a kit without their sponsorship on it in the 2009/10 season. wouldn't it be lovely to have the Anniverasry kit though (perhaps we could pay Flybe off, seeing as we're so loaded now!) LOL
Crab Lungs Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Or why don't we just satisfy all parties and wear the anniversary kit with flybe on it?
Saint_clark Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Or why don't we just satisfy all parties and wear the anniversary kit with flybe on it? 1. That'll make it look crap unfortunately, and 2. I'd rather ONLY wear the anniversary kit for next season.
Berkers Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 A special kit in 2003 uefa cup didn't do us much good - stick to the stripes
Bakovnetski Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 A special kit in 2003 uefa cup didn't do us much good - stick to the stripes Collectors item though.
krissyboy31 Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 I think a special kit (the next year's one) could be used for an FA Cup final because it's May and the end of the season. This (although a Wembley appearance and silverware to be won) is basically a Mickey Mouse competition being played in March. Current home shirt should and will be worn IMO.
The9 Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 We'll wear the usual kit, and why wouldn't we? It's only the bloody JPT, Wembley or not !
The Godfather Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 It will be red & white as carlisle play in blue.
Block 5 Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 red and white stripes Agreed. Why would we wear anything else?
Shrivvy Saint Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Deffo Red and White, I don't know why so many fans have the paranoia about the yellow and blue as apart from '76 it's been incredibly unlucky
SO16_Saint Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 We'll wear the usual kit, and why wouldn't we? It's only the bloody JPT, Wembley or not ! assume you wont be going, then?
Norm Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Red and White for me! Just booked my hotel for the Sat' night. 15 Min walk to Wembley Stadium. All I need now is 3 tickets! This will be my third trip to see Saints in a Cup Final. I missed the FA Cup Final at Wembley.
Badger Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Our first final in our home kit. R/W stripes for me rather than a special 125th Year kit or away kit.
Matthew Le God Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Our first final in our home kit. You forgot the... FA Cup final in 1900 vs Bury FA Cup final in 1902 vs Sheff Utd (depends who played in away kit) Texaco Cup final in 1975 vs Newcastle Anglo-Italian League Cup final in 1976 vs Napoli All played in red and white stripes
paulwantsapint Posted 10 February, 2010 Posted 10 February, 2010 Home kit red & white hair & face paint will look better
