hamster Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 What are people's views on them; in general and re the match this weekend? I ask because I received a text yesterday offering me tickets at £40 a piece!! That is double face value and the person had already sold 20 apparently. Now then, this may be market led, but it doesn't really sit too comfortably with me for some reason. Thoughts?
RedAndWhite91 Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 R.G? Felt like sending him some abuse after i read that From A.G. His brother I think. Seems they got a bit of a ticket touting thing going on. Not right if you ask me.

hamster Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 Would hate this to happen for Wembley, but sadly it will. I suppose if people are willing to pay that sort of money then there will always be people willing to take it off of them. I bet those pesky Pompey lot have been ripping each other off to the max aswell. It's been quite some time since I've seen touts at a Saints game though and perhaps the police will be more concerned with the added risk of them falling into the 'wrong hands'.
hamster Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 and we're not the only ones at it, this one's in with us though ;-o and £75! http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=424&fid=203&sty=2&act=1&mid=2122859192
Saint137 Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 Hmm, I thought reselling football tickets was a criminal offence...
ericofarabia Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 Hmm, I thought reselling football tickets was a criminal offence... Criminal Offences are an essential part of your CV if you want to be involve with Skatesmuff
saints_is_the_south Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 Over 30k sold now according to the OS.

It wasn't a tout, it was the Official Skatesmuff Ticketing Office trying to claw in a bit of extra dosh to pay for the halftime oranges
oldsarum Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 Over 30k sold now according to the OS. Less than 1000 left according to Solent this morning

Crouch Ender Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 I just got the last seat left in the Itchen or so I was told. Otherwise they'd have been putting me at the back of the family centre - thank Marcus it didn't come to that. Don't ask why I hadn't sorted this out before. V quick getting through on the phone though fwiw.

Agreed. My old man always tell me the story about how he was sat in the Fratton end when Moran scored. He barely made it out alive!

JRM Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 it is still a poor reflection on our support that this has been so slow to sell out. watching big derbies on the tele the commentators normally begin with "this game could have sold out several times over" "tickets are like gold dust for this fierce local derby" guess they can use footage of the overnight queue to make it look like that. but still got to wonder why 48 hours before kick off tickets are still on sale. Hope the atmosphere lives up to expectations and goes right around the ground saturday.

Brought forgeries for the Portsmouth End for 1984 Cup Game in The Painted Wagon. Were fully prepared to stand in there but as we got off one of the soccer specials from Southampton the Police just threw us in the Saints end !!! Those were the days !
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 There better not be any bloody skates sat near me. Well apart from the 4000 in the away section.
This Charming Man Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 Terrible, terrible support from us. It's shocking that this has taken so long to sell out. People moaning about the linked sale, if you don't wish to attend another home game this season, what kind of a fan are you? Ticket prices, worth every penny for a game like this. However terrible the Skates support has been this season, they would sell this game out 10x times over.

derry Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 If you need to pay over the top to get to the game so be it but after the match email dluker@saintsfc.co.uk with the seat number/s and tell him they were touted. The customer numbers will be matched and the greedy buggers won't get any more.
West End Saint Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 Get a grip people it was always going to sell out & has a lot of families will give this a miss two sell outs in a week I think our support this season has been good
Saint_Ash Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 Does it matter when it's a sell out? If it's a sell out on the day then that's all that matters. No point crying and whinging about it. I got my tickets yesterday as no point buying linked tickets as I knew they'd be some left over. I'm sure Poopy wouldn't sell out as quick as us if they all had to be on the database aswell. If it was general sale from the start then it'd been sold out after 2 days. Some people need to stop being stupid!
Soton7 Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 Just went to pick up my tickets. No queues at all. Police are setting up their huts outsdide the northam that's about it. They said they have a couple of hundred tickets left.
Chez Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 is it just family centre tickets left or are there a few in the Kingsland/Chapel corner??
Soton7 Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 Not too sure, Give them a call you will get through first time. Just keep pressing 2!

CFSFC Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 Skates have never had the opprtunity to prove waether they could sell out or not!!! And look at the birmingham v villa game never sells out at st andrews, true reflection on this country is that people are to scared of the unknown. We wil sell out and i for one hope its lads and only lads so that we show the country we're no walk over. And for half of our fans realise we are not a family only club.
Pennyred Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 As at 1455 this afternoon just 20 tickets left before SELLOUT.
paris Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 Meaning 32,000 tickets sold n'est pas ?? As at 1455 this afternoon just 20 tickets left before SELLOUT.

Fergie Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 Fergie is lying. Don't listen to her! i'm not lying, i'm marely repeating what the girl on the phone told me!! phone up yourself and see!! her exact words were 'you have just made the game a sell-out Mr Ferguson, you got the last ticket'
SFC Forever Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 There better not be any bloody skates sat near me. Well apart from the 4000 in the away section. 4000 to 1 sounds about right. :smt052:smt052

Fergie Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1962156,00.html told you!!
Leicestersaint Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 I think there are some widly unrealistic assessments on here. This match is live on television -it is also not that cheap to buy tickets at a time when many are tightening their belts. I remember us only getting around 25,000 when we played Spurs (2003?) in the Cup and won 4 - 0. We are a third division side - how many other third tier sides would fill a stadium with 32,000 people? We have done very well to sell out just a few days after getting a huge gate for the MK match. It is great and will be a superb atmosphere.
bender Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 If Portsmouth go into Administration, is there a league rule that they cannot participate in the FA Cup? How the f*ck did Palace beat Wolves 3 - 0 last week if that was the case.

If people like me didn't come to games, and hadn't for the past 17 years with my family, the club wouldn't exist for you 'lads' to go to . K. I take my nephews and brought them a season ticket, so no not saying that, and I love the fact we have lots of young fans ready to be our fans for the future. Just for me derby day is derby day.... And its a chance to let Of steam against the blue few and i for one would not like a 7 year old girl sat next to me during the game. So i think you may have over reacted at my post. Thanks. But then again i'd rather a 7 year old girl than an internet nerd holding up a stingray trying to look intimidating CFSFC
