Sour Mash Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 What would certainly be worthwhile and someone should get the club to promote is to have a few blocks as a "family centre", don't know if this is done as standard for cup finals, but having a section for those with young kids and want to avoid bad language, standing up etc would definitely do everyone a big favour.

Far too sensible IMO
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 (edited) No, none of the above I'm afraid, you complete and utter weirdo. Attention seeking then??:smt119 Edited 11 February, 2010 by ALWAYS_SFC
revolution saint Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 I don't recall there being a problem at Cardiff (mind you I was back row which meant I could stand all game) and the ZDS had a good atmosphere. I think it'll be fantastic and whoever goes will be swept along in the atmosphere. I just can't see how the atmosphere will be anything but loud, enthusiastic and good fun.
Griffo Posted 11 February, 2010 Posted 11 February, 2010 I don't remember much from Cardiff, how many of our lot were stood?
saints_is_the_south Posted 12 February, 2010 Author Posted 12 February, 2010 http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=20201 According to this thread we have been given the West Stand. So blocks 131 to 136 for those who wish to stand & sing!

The Saturday Boy Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 But the way it seems they will sell the tickets, all the ST holders will be together along the side of the pitch. Correct, they will probably sell tickets one block at a time.

saints_is_the_south Posted 15 February, 2010 Author Posted 15 February, 2010 echosport@dailyecho.co.uk Emailed Luker again asking the club to advertise blocks 131 to 136 as singing areas & the echo on the above email addy. Get on it people!

dune Posted 15 February, 2010 Posted 15 February, 2010 So in all other areas we all have to sit in silence then... We're just trying to encourage the old fogies from the Kingsland to **** off elsewhere in the nicest possible way.
saint_neilo Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 F8ck sake i hate fans like you. From what you have said above you clearly have no grasp of what it is like to actually support the team. lets stand up and clap politely when we score, sit silently for the rest of the game. +1 Well Said!!!
saint_neilo Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 I have emailed Lucker the following: Dear Mr Luker I think it will be a great idea for Southampton FC to put an article in the next home programme stating that all fans that want to stand up and sing to get behind our side at Wembley should by tickets in blocks 131 – 136 at Wembley as this is where most of the Northam Fans will be heading. I also believe it would be a good idea if you get the pitch announcer to say this out before the next home game we want to get behind SFC as much as possible and I believe you can help us do this by possibly suggesting this to the appropriate people.
Saint_clark Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 People who are emailing please DON'T ask him to tell people to STAND behind the goal. He will be breaking the law if he tells us to do this.
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Im an old fogey and I like to sing, where can I sit/stand ?

Most people will have their tickets by then....... i have an idea ... buy your ticket where the F**K you like and sing your heart out, those who just want to sit and be quiet, save the money it's on Sky
saints_is_the_south Posted 16 February, 2010 Author Posted 16 February, 2010 Had replies from David Luker & the echo today on this matter. Both will be advertising a singing section which should be blocks 131 to 136 behind the goal in the lowest tier. Good stuff.
Genk Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 So do we know whether you can ask for a specific block when tickets go on sale on Monday. Or are they going to sell them anticlockwise round, which I think i read somewhere.

Both will be advertising a singing section which should be blocks 131 to 136 behind the goal in the lowest tier. Good stuff. But it won't be advertised as a standing area. The OS now has the Wwmbley Ground Regulations advertised: surprise surprise reg 12 rules out standing while play is in progress.

Sour Mash Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 But it won't be advertised as a standing area. The OS now has the Wwmbley Ground Regulations advertised: surprise surprise reg 12 rules out standing while play is in progress. Of course the club will never advertise a "standing area", would be mad to expect them to. Still going to be tens of thousands standing on the day, as happens at all major finals.
latter day saint Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 But it won't be advertised as a standing area. The OS now has the Wwmbley Ground Regulations advertised: surprise surprise reg 12 rules out standing while play is in progress. wot if they advertise it as the "Northam" area,as everyone will know wot to expect then without having to brand it as a standing area?
Thedelldays Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 zll the club have to do...is have an article called "recreate the Northam at Wembley" and then say the blocks they propose the "singers" to use...if they do..that is up to them
Scudamore Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 People who are emailing please DON'T ask him to tell people to STAND behind the goal. He will be breaking the law if he tells us to do this. I can just imagine the police swooping in on Luker's house for a dawn raid on that one...
samoakley Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Cant belive people have been making arguements im the better fan etc saints and the fa wont advsive people to stand in a certain section, england fans know the stewards are quite good at wembley i have never had a problem with them, mclowns last game towards the end of the game i have never been involed in such a atsompshere and seen so many people standing tryin to erge the team on, not 1 steward said sit down or try to think there above anyone, so i think it will be cracking game march 28th and people who want to stand will get away with it as long as there not spoiling the fun for others. P.S I sit and stand at games depending on where im sat at sms but i think when sat you can sing and create a bit of noise COYS
latter day saint Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 i think it will be cracking game march 28th and people who want to stand will get away with it as long as there not spoiling the fun for others. this is why most people want a standing/singing area,so that they can group together to hopefully help create a great atmosphere & to do so without annoying other fans who show there support in different ways. the idea's a win/win for everyone imo
Badger Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 from teh carlisle website Well done for borrowing that plan... What about the grey blocks ? There appears a healthy chunk behind our goal which is to be left vacant,or is that for corporate sandwich brigade ?
krissyboy31 Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Well done for borrowing that plan... What about the grey blocks ? There appears a healthy chunk behind our goal which is to be left vacant,or is that for corporate sandwich brigade ? Club Wembley, I believe.
Badger Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Club Wembley, I believe. What is that then, some sort of creche facility ?
Saint137 Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Yeah, you have someone to look after your prawn sandwiches and bollinger whilst you pop off to the loos where someone else wipes your arse
Saint_clark Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 The grey parts are complimentary tickets I should imagine.
saintwarwick Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 So do we know whether you can ask for a specific block when tickets go on sale on Monday. Or are they going to sell them anticlockwise round, which I think i read somewhere. If its the same as normal online booking then you type in the block you want and it offers you seats within that block, will see on Monday if this works for wembley.
RonManager Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 So in all other areas we all have to sit in silence then... Correct. One squeek and you're out on your ear, understood? :smt066
Badger Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 The grey parts are complimentary tickets I should imagine. Look out for the Swiss Saints legion then.
