Thommo is a don.

People moan about people not getting stuck in enough and drifting in and out of games then when someone like Thomas get involved a bit he gets a load of stick.

The best part was when he came back on after the game had finished to have a go at a group of Mk Dons players.

Thomas is an absolute legend in my eyes.

Tbh I only want Saints players who give 100% to the cause, and Thomas is one of those players who I can say does this every week.

In this league we need more players like Thomas.

I would rather have a player who plays with a bit of fire and passion that occasionally oversteps the mark, than a lightweight player who goes missing when the going gets tough and ducks out of every single 50/50.

Any names?

Thomas will always be a 'Tank' to me....

Big game from WT on Saturday.......Same passion and full blooded commitment tempered with a tad sensible hat on.......Be the real big pro you can be Mr Thomas.....Stay away from the ref...

Southampton expects....

Anyone seen the highlights on the BBC website yet?! When Lallana smashes in the last goal Thomas appears to leap around in celebration whilst taking the time to bend down and shout something in to the ear of one of the MK Dons defenders. The MK Dons defender then looks as if he is trying to hurl the ball as hard as he can towards WT but misses! Very funny!

I thought Thomas was unlucky to get booked for the first incident as he played the ball and the man was incidental, though it was a sliding tackle from behind (which actually if it's a foul is an automatic red anyway as per the 1994 directive on tackling from behind).

He then in another incident clattered through the back of their player milliseconds after play was dead for a free-kick to Saints already, and then ran the width of the penalty area to shove the MK Dons player in the last incident - I thought he'd seen an elbow used or something.

Lewington and Wilbraham were mouthing off to the ref in one incident alone far more than Thomas did all match, and it was obvious to me he wasn't going to get a second yellow for the push as soon the ref called captain Hammond over to talk to him.

"Talking to his captain" was the ref's get out for not showing a second yellow to Thomas - if he hadn't already been booked he'd have definitely got one for that, but basically the ref bottled it, which is just as well really.

I think that's the first time I've seen him lose it, and even then he was pretty in control.
