Was in block 28, first time out of the Northam in a few years. I expected it to sound a lot louder than it was. Looked good when the whole stand did a disco.

Was also surprised how much the Chapel and Kingsland south join in. It's not very loud but generally any songs without clapping get going quite well.

in all honesty, thought the chapel was alot better tonight i could only get tickets in the itchen south and was dissapointed by the amount of people who wouldnt join in with a chant

I learned one thing last night that was of benefit to me and my brood.

If the chapel stays family I will get ST's elsewhere.

Sitting (and standing) in the Itchen was a much better experience than I have been used to this season. I had not taken into consideration how many more songs my youngest could join in when surrounded by active supporters.

I have to put my hands up and admit to making a bad error of judgement in the belief I should introduce my youngest slowly.

Back to the theme of this thread and yes the ground was rocking more than usual. If pompey are still in existence(not guaranteed judging by news) last night was a good rehearsal for the real thing.

I was in the Itchen and it was pretty good. Northam sounded loud but the songs were all a bit dull.

With 5 minutes to go some chap behind me said "if we win this are we in the final?"

at half time last night the bloke behind me was shocked when the bloke next to hi pointed out tha there was no extra time in the JPT

Block 43...best atmosphere is ages. been to ALL the paint trophy games now, home and away, so i best be able to get myself a ticket to wembley! will be very disapointed if not.

great result, the line-up looked good enough for the championship, more again on saturday morning please!!

The northam was rocking today for sure, the lads behind me on back row made a good effort to knock the perspex out, make me crao myself and keep the noise going through the songs.

Love Southampton, hate pompey.

Sat in block 42, as normal but in a different seat. I thought that was the best atmosphere in the Northam for ages. Singing, clapping and jumping around, the stand was shaking and it was all positive for a change

Not felt the stand shake in a while, was good.

I sat in Block 43 Row T, and was not impressed by the support tbh. Half the people around me hardly celebrated when we scored, I don't think one person even knew which team Southampton was.

I sang my heart out for the entire game, and most people barely joined in (or only did with the easy well known songs).

Yes I was in the Chapel. Great view great company, but not how I want to watch football. I could not sit in there week in week out.

No, the support around the rest of the Northam was amazing, I'm just saying around me was a disgrace.

That's because those people had got tickets late on and it was one of the only places people could go due to the rest of the ground being sold out. So the people sat/stood there were most probably not the usual stand and sing type people.

Northam was good last night. I was in Kingsland South and it was good to see almost the whole end full of good guys.

But I think a lot of the people in the Northam would be surprised at how quiet they sound from the rest of the ground.

On another note, there was a nice moment in the first half when most of the Chapel / Family Section jumped up en masse to join the Northam in a verse of Shoot the Pompey Scum.
