Just heading back, good game. Shove that up your arse ince, your team are a bunch of moaners. Bit tense but guess it was always going to be. Best own goal ever!

Didn't seem the greatest football tonight, I almost drifted off at one point. Couple of bizarre goals. But a trip to Wembley is amazing. Cannot wait.

It might sound daft but could we make history here? - most fans of 1 team ever inside an all-seater english football stadium. If carlisle only sell 10,000, corporate 5,000 = 75,000 saints fans. Unlikely but you never know...

LMFAO. Get real, Carlisle will sell 30000, although how many of them will be able to find Wembley having never been out of Cumbria before is a different matter!!

Us 45000 tops ... isn't it Easter weekend/ school hols ... many people already made holiday plans(me included ... checking the date of The JPT Final wasn't No. 1 priority when I made my booking back in September :()

No matter how many are there, hope they do the club proud.

Carlisle has 9,430 at tonight's game of which 1,400 were Leeds. So we had 3 times as many at our game so hopefully we will get way more than half the ticket allocation :-)

May just have to fly back to England for the final? Never saw any games at the old Wembley but would love to see a Saints win at the new one. Checking flight prices now.

Nope. It's the following weekend.

You've made the fatal mistake of crediting the organisers of football tournaments with a modicum of logic....

I haven't seen any manful comments from the not easily impressed, but shouldn't we be less satisfied for just making the final - we need to win it?!

Maximum ticket allocation that I have seen is 37000 for Luton in last years JPT final, Gillingham got 38000 for the play off last year. Seems to be problems with segragation by giving one club too many. Hopefully they can find a way round it this year.

GTF in there! Looking forward to a big day out now! Atmosphere was amazing at the end of the game. Tommo just seemed to want to fight everyone! Fonté was immense from start to finish. Not sure why Lambert was taking the corners mind.

Wembley here we come - COYR! :-)

So happy. Only wish I could go. I had planned on traveling to see them at Wembley but the ticket office rained on my parade. I emailed and asked about tickets and was told I couldn't purchase one.

Hi Angie,

I’m afraid you will not be eligible for a ticket to the final (should we reach the final) unless you have been to either the home leg or away leg semi-finals.

Would have loved to attend a qualifying match. Living 5,000 miles away makes it a bit tough.

Best of luck to the team and good luck to everyone on getting a ticket.

I reckon on a 50K for Saints fans, and then Carlisle will get as many as they need .... probably 25K.

That's around 75K total, but capacity is 90K - i'd really hope we'd get a bit more than that. I may have to kill someone to get a ticket.

I wish i'd known this. I went to Stadium MK, but thought you needed a home ticket to get a final ticket so bought one simply to guarentee a final ticket.

What the ****?

This doesn't make sense - so maximum saints fans that are legible is 29K?

Anyone notice we played the 3-1 team.

And we won 3-1.

Strange coincidence or what? ;)

I won a small bet v Stockport but narrowly missed the 3-0, Lambert to score 1st bigger win.

Tonight my mate stuck a tenner on Lambo to score 1st & 3-1 @ 50/1 (very high odds so not sure if this was with his halftime score too). Regardless, great win...for Saints & him. Lucky barsteward!

MK Dons are a horrible team - as a mate of mine put it, a chip off the old block. Niggly bunch of whiners and moaners. But right now I'd happily play them every week - let's face it, we always beat them! Comfortable win, I thought Papa and Rickie looked good up front together. And I reckon tonight's game showed that Hammond makes a big contribution to the team, even if he doesn't do anything spectacular. Fonte was excellent, but Jaidi had a very iffy game - hope he's in better nick on Saturday.

Damn but it felt good when that third goal went in!

I cannot see that we would get more than 50% (ca. 45,000) as a matter of principle.

But the fact their SF homeleg was watched by 10,000 and ours by 30,000 (with much less away fan contribution) must carry some weight.

Am assuming the order of preference for tickets will be:

1.Season ticket holders

2. Those attending semi final and or southern area final

3. Members

4. Those on database

Does that seem about right?

Great night! Biggest cheer for ages at the final whistle - we're going to wembley!!!

We started really well, quick, incisive and in their faces - we deservedly went 2 goals up. Papa's movement and pace was pulling their back 4 all over the shop and that let Lambert get through to score...

the 2nd goal was fantastic, you won't ever see a better OG. Antonio over-ran it...keeper came to claim it, their player decided to also boot it and it rebounded off another of their defenders and into the net - who cares though!

I thought after that it could be any score, because we were rampant...but we got to about 35-40mins and just took our foot of the gas totally, kind of went into ''cruise'' mode - which we can’t do very well. They got a goal back, which was lucky from their point of view, but also pretty poor defending from us.

2nd half they huffed and puffed, but they never created anything clear cut and I’d say we were quite comfortable, without ever pushing that hard ourselves (it turned very scrappy). 3rd goal probably flattered us slightly on the night, but it's a deserved win taking in both ties - but let's not underestimate Carlisle...we're going into this as red hot favorites now, which brings it's own pressures…

ratings...

Kelv - 7 - didn't have to do much tbf, his distribution was a bit iffy at times though

Harding 7 - good to see him back, solid as you'd expect - but not as attacking as I’ve seen him in previous games.

Jaidi - 7 - good to see him back as well, won most in the air...but tried at times to play a bit too much on the dock and got into trouble, but he's still one of our best CB's

Fonte - 8 - untroubled, defends with ease - really like him, way too good for this level, clear to see.

Thomo - 7 - If there's one thing you can be sure about with Thomas, is that he'll get up the ref's nose most games. He was solid though - wasn't tested too much tbf.

Antonio - 6 - quite quiet in all honesty, he had a few runs at them and helped get the 2nd goal…but he wasn't as involved as he was for the first leg.

Morgan - 6 - iffy IMO - when the game turned scrappy he lost it a bit, started giving the ball away and losing tackles etc - good decision to sub him for wotton.

Hammond - 8 - fantastic surprise to see him back and he made a massive difference IMO. In their faces all game, didn't let their midfield settle and led as you'd expect him too. We've really missed him.

Lallana - 8 - another good game from adam...first 30-35mins he was everywhere, they couldn't contain him. Nice to see him finish it off with a goal too.

Lambert 8 - close to his best IMO - tired a bit towards the end, but they couldn't handle him in the first 30 mins, his clever forward play (along with papa) was creating openings time and time again. It was interesting to see him taking all the set pieces (corners etc) - he's got the ability to bend a fantastic ball, so we might as well utilize it from other situations.

Papa - 8 - thought he played really well, ran his socks off and he gives us a dimension which I think we've lacked in some games - someone to run beyond the last defender, it makes a huge difference.

Just got back, what a brilliant feeling to have a Wembley final to look forward too and i don't care what trophy its for....you tell the players it doesn't matter!!!

Excellent vocal support. Was in the Itchen North next to the away fans....they were not a happy bunch, especially the porker in the white top who got very animated in the second half....shove that up your arse Ince and co!!!!!

Was I watching a different game?

Everyone seems to be liking Fonte's performance but I thought he made quite a few mistakes tonight.

Superb result though and great to see and hear St Mary's pretty much at capacity.

Cant wait for Wembley!

Have to admit we were good for the first 35 mins and the last 10 mins. In between it was stop/start game and there were periods when we went backwards (especially just before half time).

But hey-ho, we won whilst not playing well. I'll take that and a trip to WEMBLEY!

That email seems to suggest there will be no general sale, either to fan on database or not if they didn't make it to area finals. Can anyone confirm? Surely with a stadium as big as wembley they would be shooting themselves in the foot?!?

Yes, I'd agree with that summary. We seemed to ease off toward the end of the first half, and got dragged into their way of playing as a result. Before that we'd been pinging the ball around beautifully at times, afterwards we lumped it long far too often.
