WARNING!

I have it from a 100% reliable source that fenerbace and galatassary fans are joining together with boca and river plate fans to come to the city to all fight as one against Southampton yoof.

This is a true story. So don't go to the game, sell your ticket to avoid the trouble!

P.s. I am now buying portsmouth game tickets at £10 a pop, P.m. me if you want to offload yours to avoid the trouble. Much love x

I hope you have passed this information on to the authorities?

they are now aware and are currently in the process of speaking to the UN and are going to be drafting troops back from Iraq and Afghanistan to try and keep the peace.

Hi

Ive just been informed by mate who is a police officer that intel says that Millwall fans will be travelling down for the match and are making high tension threats. He said they are coming down 'to be with pompey' which ive asked for clarification on... Im guessing to back up the pompey fans in any trouble that arises....

Police advice is to stay away from pubs in the local area that day and they say that every policeman and his dog will be there....

Stay alert people ;)

What a load of old cobblers!

Is there any recent history of violence at the recent games we've played against them?

I apreciate they maybe a bit more charged with the certain goading they are going to recieve about their financial peril?

Yes - Saints ran them all over St Marys St prior to the league cup game.

Ask any lad about the Joiners and your see the response it gets.

I've heard that some Skates are coming to town without tickets, but that's hardly a revelation.

As for this Millwall nonsense it's not even worth dwelling on.

I'm just relaying information from a mate and I only got one text, of which the contents I provided out of decency so that people keep their wits about them.

I'm not tying to start off a rumour or scare anyone as that just ain't me. Just thought it was wise to pass on police 'intel'

I'm not aware of the history between Pompey and millwall but can see why that sounded unbelievable. Maybe 'to be with pompey' meant they were coming to cause trouble against them?? I dunno...

Anyway, didn't mean to cause any drama. Best intentions were at heart.

football violence is one of the most ridiculously hyped up pathetic things in this country. it actually embarresses me that we have a thread on here like this?! why avent the mods shut it down??

the reason why this thread is comical to me...

1. millwall and pompey hate each other

2. we dont have a large hooligan following, as much as some people like to think we do we dont (which is a good thing)

3. even if they did come down for a row, what actually happened at the west ham millwall game earlier this year? sod all! it wasnt like there were 4 deaths and 2 dozen people in hospital or anything. i have seen much more damage done at bar brawls! basically a load of idiots decided to have a rampage and trash things

4. the police treat football violence with no mercy whatsoever. there intellgence will be everywhere for this game. if a group of millwall boarded a train and headed down they would be found and ''politely advised'' by the old bill to turn back and go home!

5. even if there was a massive group of pompey/millwall at the game who exactly is going to fight them? cos the last time i looked, we were southampton the 'family club' that has a few idiots like most clubs do but does not have a large active firm looking to kick off and who are willing to do serious time and get hefty banning orders for fighting...

lol rant over!

p.s. delete thos thread please mods! its seriously embaressing!!!

Posted (edited)

Why delete it?? Cos you seriously believe I'm lying or because the copper is wrong with their intel????

Eithe way I'm not saying there IS going to be trouble, just rumour circulating in the police that millwall have plans to come down, for whatever reason.

So much for trying to do the right thing

As I say every policeman and his dog will be there so I'm sure an trouble would soon be sorted out.

yeah thats right, cos we have had massive rucks with pompey at recent games havent we! we dont have a large amount of people looking for REAL trouble. if we did, there would be a thousand or so lads organising a meet to attack them and get throught he police escort no matter what the cost... yeah we might have a couple of hundred or so but the old bill will know exactly who they are and will have them under watch.

i dont really give a **** about that anyway my point here is that its ****ing pathetic that all some people want to talk about in the build up to this game is how much trouble there will be. this thread is so embaressing to saints fans. if there is a massive riot anyway we should be keeping it to close to the floor not shouting it from the rooftops. football violence is one of the most pathetic things and it really ****es me off, thats all :)

I totally agree about football violence. It's pathetic. As I said above I'm not saying there will be trouble!!! I was merely passing on police intel. I was also curious why millwall would come down (if it is true!) and where be police would have got this info from. I do actually agree that the OB are using millwall reputation to keep people from getting on it before/after the game...

If I thought anyone actually cared I would pass on any other 'intel' I get on the matter but it would seem people would rathe not know these things. Fair enough.

The way I look at this is people love these games as it's a chance to get one over our locals.

I know a few guys from my workplace that are going and have not done so for a few years now. I personally know they are not trouble makers but they enjoy the banter between the barriers/stewards/police because they know they won't get hurt.

Once out the ground they would walk home happy without even wanting to look for trouble.

That's 99% of the supporters on Saturday who are like this while the very small minority ruin it for the others by taking it one step too far.

sorry buddy it wasnt a dig. just so many people are joining on the violence bandwagon for this game. it seems a lot of local people (non saints) forget that we actually have a game of football to be played and this isnt a great excuse for a fight! it just has irritated me a lot!! sorry to rant like i have lol

If you look at all the books that are out like the skate 6.57 (which actually stands for the time they have to be in bed by!) they are all co-written by the same people, include most of the same game, have pictures of loads of fans by a pub or staion (we could do that) so it looks as though the so called `firms` are not what they ae in prctice so need to do a PR job to lok good.

We had the Millwall, Rangers, other firms `down for ` the FA cup games brfore and at frutton.

There probally will be damage to pubs etc as most Skates living in skatville are plain chavs . Dont forget the damage that happened last time we were at skatesville and that happened well after kick off 3.pm. So the Chavs were outside the ground causing damage to thier own residents.

Given the fact they need to keep the books image up I suspect half (most dont go regually) will just turn up for trouble.

Saints should not have allowed any of them at all, most of them turned up with a bag full of cans drinking outside SMS last time, plus early on intown having a go at kids with Saints shirts on.

I hope thier train breaks down, or with a bit of luck the go bust on Wed and dont turn up!

Yeah, totally agree! And let's not forget that the same percentage probably applied to Pompey supporters as well. They're here to support their team - and we all know how difficult that can be. Let's have the craic, take the **** but fighting, who needs it.

Posted

Yeh Let em come we can take them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recommend we first take them to the Maritime Museum to show them our maritime history, then after a quick ice cream in Mayflower Park, it'll be off to West Key Road, to do some shopping, with a stop in Ikea for some real Swedish meatballs...................

Having demolished the Gaza strip, apparently Israel and Palestine are on their way to Southampton to have it out this weekend. I was driving through town the other day and it seems they have already made a promising start in Shirley.

This is true. When we played them at night match a group of bedraggled skates congregated on the bridge that takes you to the Nortam end snarling at families and pensioners. Quite how they made it to the Bridge from the Joiners so quickly is anyones guess.

Ha Ha heard it all before.

Millwall hate the skates, always have and always will.

I think Wednesdays events will have a big say in the mood of the blue slime.

Show them the way to Zamaretto!

Real football violence isn't arranged on Internet forums, only wannabe idiots discuss such things.

Unlike the majority of you I have come up against the 657 on 2 occasions, not once at a football ground, and not even on a match day, both times they ran like dogs after a good beating.....But eddie crispin and his mates ain't gonna put that in his book or his silly 'hardest towns' documentary is he?....he has to impress is mate cas pennant, another book writing liar who was given a good slap by the saints boys back in the day.

Police intelligence is good, but not that good....millwall ain't coming I can assure you of that,go to the game, enjoy yourself, you will be safer than a baby in a blanket.

You are right, it was only one man stabbed and 20 in hospital !

One Millwall fan described scenes outside the stadium as “like a war zone”. He said: “I brought my kids with me tonight and they’ve seen some violence that is indescribable.”

There will be a large element that will try and make headlines of that I am sure, isn't there a quote of bring you're bat not you're kids, however, I am equally sure if you want to avoid it you will be able to.

"There is nothing to fear except fear itself"

Panic over now anyway.

I spoken to my mate who is a Lincoln City fan, he is rounding up a few old faces and now our yoof will have the Lincoln Transit Elite backing them up.

Serious business the internet.

You will only see exactly what you go looking for.

Nail on the head.

Football "violence" doesn't really extend to innocent members of the public who are just going to enjoy the game, only isolated incidents like the West Ham vs Millwall game or the infamous Millwall vs Birmingham game.

For example, people always hype up trips to Millwall, I've been there 3 times and the most trouble I've had is the standard police act of keeping us in the away fans alleyway that goes to the station whilst their lot get on the trains.

The mongs who go looking for the trouble will probably get it, the rest of us just going to the game will be fine.

Posted

Spot on. Had more trouble at Brentford than at Millwall!

Theres always talk at any derby match that there is going to be violence, even heard it a few years ago between Carlisle and Darlington FFS. Its always going to be part of folklore derby match = violence

There will always be a few that want to big themselves up and "come on over here if you think you're hard enough" (wow that brings back memories along with "You're going to get your ****ing head kicked in"). But i think like other derbies at SMS the police will have it covered. SMS is a much safer ground to police than their ****hole so the police breathed a sigh of relief when we were first out. I know dads and kids that will be in the away end and they are looking forward to a good match nothing more, and bragging rights for sundays youth football league

As some have said if you want trouble you will find it somewhere on saturday, but if, like me, you go to support the team and enjoy a victory then you will return home to your loved ones, in one piece and in time for tea.

This thread is laughable! I live in a Millwall area and I can categorically tell you that their current crop of fans couldn't give a toss about either us or the blue few.

I just texted one mate upon sight of this thread who responded to say "Don't flatter yourselves". pretty much what I expected.

What we have here is a classic case of police propaganda. They don't want any of us in the pubs boozing prior to the game so they create a bit of spin and let the internet work it's magic. The football factory has alot to answer for.

Go looking for trouble, you'll find it.

Go looking to watch a game of football with your kids, they'll be safe.
