im officially pooing my pants. more worried about this than saturday, not that i dont think pompey pose a threat, course they do and they will start favorites and rightly so, premier team in the best league in the world so we got nothing to lose, but tonight is one step from Wembley ffs. opportunities like this dont happen often!! goal inside 10 minutes and another before half time and one after 75 mins please to allow the 30,000 crowd to sing their bottoms off for the last 15 :D

gizza final ticket...

Why the negativity? Granted we haven't been playing particularly well and because we are 1-0 up playing at home there is a complacency we have to guard against. But in two games we have played against Milton Keynes, they have shown absolutely nothing, apart from two players (Puncheon and Easter) neither of which are playing tonight.

Like many others I have had a sleepless night.

I am worried about this game, there is so much riding on it.

I know the JPT has it's detractors but to see Saints at Wembley in any competition would be thrilling.

Someone reassure me please that everything will be ok......

OS says 19:45 but my tickets say 19:00 - curious.

Not curious at all, the game was originally on 16th at 7:45, then moved to 9th at 7pm "in case it was on tv" - which also doubled as a method of freeing up 16th for a rearranged match or FA Cup replay, then when Sky decided to show the North Area Final instead, they moved it back to the normal 7:45pm kickoff.

I don't think tickets were available when the date was intended to be 16th, so the only tickets out there will have one of the two kick off times on the 9th on them depending on what the anticipated ko time was when they were issued. Mine's got 7pm on it as well.

Everything will be OK!!! We will have to play well, but i think the players have taken their eye off the league a little (frustrating) but i think they we will play well tonight. As Antonio's OS message says, some of these guys could only dream of playing at Wembley so being 90 mins away will give them that kick up the arse. Incidently, i'm in Block 3 tonight, i'll give u a wave make sure you're feeling better. First time in the IC since the playoff season. Can't ****ing wait! COYR

I don't know if anyone has posted this anywhere else:

It appears that we have smashed the record for the highest ever attendance for a JPT match with our attendance for tonight.

Funny bit at the end too: 'Leeds United have sold 1,400 tickets for their trip at Carlisle United in the northern area final...'

Something tells me that Sky have opted to screen the wrong match! :)

That would be a big mistake IMHO as he ran them ragged and was MoM in the first leg !

Davis

Thomas Fonte Jaidi Harding

Antonio James Schneiderlin Lallana

Lambert Waigo

I'm assuming that Hammond and Connolly are still unfit !

I like this. This'd be my line up too.

Rather amused to see that Puncheon is on your list, as he was one of MK Don's best players before coming to us, so it is a far greater loss to them that he isn't in their team! And for comfort, just look at the list of players who cannot turn out for them. Easter isn't playing because of suspension and there are other players of theirs out injured too. It is nothing like the team we played up there in the last round. We have been moaning that some of our new players haven't gelled yet, but to me it seemed that players like Jaidi, Harding, Papa will be welcome starters that will have something to prove.

I also found it difficult to sleep last night.

No, we should not take anything for granted, but if we do get through tonight, then we can at least sing Que Sera, we're going to Wembley on Saturday. A win and the prospect of Wembley will lift the players' spirits into the stratosphere, whereas a loss will not be helpful at all. The difference between the two games is that we are expected to beat MK Dons, whereas technically the Premiership Skates (just) ought to have too much in their locker against a third division outfit. If we beat them, it will still be a major shock, even though the Skates are in such a precarious position as a club and as a team.

Interesting to read that the MK Dons assistant manager was still attempting to up the ante with his players because we had celebarated beating them there, even though the tie was only half over. Pathetic really. Clutching at straws and making himself look a bit of a tit.

+1

I'm currently on my third pair today.

Seriously though I am desperate to get to Wembley but can't help thinking we're going to make a right royal f*** up of it tonight.

Seriously, why is everyone crapping their pants? That sort of attitude will transfer into the stands tonight and create an atmosphere of nervousness. That could potentially affect the players. Remember Bristol Rovers? The Northam went quiet, all you could hear was the nervous murmur of the crowd, we let them down.

I hope to God it isn't going to be like that tonight. Let's get behind them and sing our hearts out for 90 minutes.

Whatever happened to blind optimism?!

I've been emailing the wife of a Nigerian diplomat. Apparently if I invest £5,000 in one of her husbands companies, I could be a millionaire withing 4 years. You might want to consider this.

I cannot wait to get away from work at 3pm and make my way down to Southampton.

As I said in the first leg, I do think that the MK Dons main priority will be making the playoffs, and for this reason I see use winning this on 2-1 and 3-1 over the tie!

I also think that we will play Leeds in the final!
