I have just spoken to the Ticket Office supervisor who has told me there are approximately 6,000 tickets left for the match. There are very few people in the queue at the moment so you should be able to get a ticket quite quickly.

Cool. Saints twitter said last night 26,650 sold for MK Dons also. Imagine both will sell out over the weekend.

Bloody nightmare trying to get mk Dons tickets the other night online, couldnt get any together, ended up in the Chapel!!!! :smt119

I'd have thought we would have sold more p*mpey tickets than 23,000, if there were already 4,000 gone to skates and 12,000 to season tickets, (16,000) before linked sale, and the que went right around the stadium with most people also buying for friends/family, then I'd have thought that all that traffic reported both at the stdium and over the phone lines would have been for far more than 7,000k.

Posted
who is to say that all sT holders bought a ticket?

I did but I know a couple said they won't.

I think most did, and the ones that didnt will be more than covered by some of the cheeky little scallys like me who got 2 on their season ticket ( I know LOADS who have done this )

In the initial post it says 6000 tickets left so if capacity is 32,000 suely this means 26,000 sold

One of the skate boards are getting excited that we won't shift our tickets and think they will be given more.

As i understand it, STHs have to wait until 10th to get more tickets.

Not gonna happen is it, Unless they've kept a block un used! The spare 6k at the moment will be spread around all areas of SMS.

Can anyone confirm this? I'd assumed that unlinked general sale was just for fans who were on the database and hadnt bought a ticket yet.

I cant see it being anything else than a sell out, where are the 30,000 that turned up to see Exeter

The majority of those fans were families.

The Itchen North, Northam block 43 was full of them!

But that was because they went on sale after the other tickets had gone on sale, so those areas would have been filled with random people buying tickets late and they would have been the only places available to buy tickets in. For Pompey it'll be different because people would have chosen to stand in the Itchen North due to being next to Pompey fans..

Finally got through today after trying all day yesterday. Thought i would only be able to get 1 ticket but apparently im on their database 3 times, so i got 2.

Those ST seats that didnt get taken by ST holders before yesterday would surely be able to sold to normal buyers. If we've only got 6 thousand left, I reckon we'll easily sell those.

Dont forget there are people holding out until next Wednesday when you dont need to buy a ticket for another game. They'll get snapped up then.

Sorry may have mis-read the original post but to clarify we got 4 extra tickets yesterday on our season ticket numbers.

You know it's actually quite difficult to get tickets, although I've no doubt we'll get close to seeling out. I've a mate who's been about 10 times this season, but isn't on the database so he can't get tickets. If you just walk up and pay even with a debit card I'm not sure you'll be on the DB.

If people are having difficulties getting tickets because they are not on the database I may be able to help. I know I am on the database but don't have the funds to purchase a ticket.

Basic maths error there.

Capacity of 32,000 minus the 6,000 left = 26,000 sold

Even if every STH bought a ticket and all the Pompey tickets sold, that still leaves 10k that were sold yesterday

Me and others I know will be trying to get tickets next wednesday when it becomes unlinked. This will be a sell out no probs. I'm still laughing at people queuing overnight to get a ticket even though wheh I drove past the stadium last night about 6pm there were no queues at all even though the office was still open.

I might be wrong but I don't think the capacity for the Portsmouth game will be set at 32,000, more like 30,500 due to the extra segregation.

if anyone paid by card for tickets in the last few days check your statements as I was charged £22.00 for JPT ticket which was correct however there was a £44.00 transaction. They have credited me back according to the statement two days later but I urge everyone to check their statements as I have seen some other posts relating to misc payments.

As i understand it, if your not on the database you cant buy a ticket, at Farton park they give the tickets away...

thats right unless on database no ticket,a couple of my mates wanted togo but were not allowed to buy tickets,if it was on general sale it would have sold out this week.,

I wish somebody would answer the bloody phone and they may sell a few more !

I've just been down to the ground to get my ticket. There is no queue, just walked straight up. The guy on the desk said there were about 5000 left? He did not think they would last until the unlinked general sale.

Already got my season ticket seats, but on the phone they wouldn't let me use the same numbers for extra tickets...

That would have been the same as giving 2 tickets to STH. If others have got away with this (which I doubt) they must have got lucky with a confused, newbie at the ticket office.

IIRC there will actually be LESS seats wasted on segregation for this match than usual (for a "sell-out"), because of the nature of the netting on Block 42 (narrow) from the requirement to give the Skates as many tickets as possible whilst under the "minimum" allocation of 4700-ish.

They didn't get 4700 last time, they got 4100, the same - they're SUPPOSED to get 4700-4800, but our segregation under Block 42/43 won't allow it.

I think Man U got 4800 as they were snotty about it, only time I've had to move from Block 41.

I now have mine in my possession. I don't know what the rules were, but I ordered two last Saturday and got them. Online booking rocks.

I will now sellotape them to my buttocks for theft prevention, no-one dare go near there...

Ha, got 2 tickets on my season ticket last week for the back of block 2, the ticket office have sent me 2 tickets each for the same seats, as we're part of a group all standing I can give the 2 spares away to mates not on the database and they can stand in with us! Looks like we'll be at least 2 over capacity! Lovely stuff!

Plus make sure you charge them full price and that pays for beers for the day !!
