Saint in Paradise Posted 3 February, 2010 Share Posted 3 February, 2010 http://www.metalstorm.com/release/future-weapons-400k.html Just a thought though, as it uses electronics I wonder if they are "hardened" against the electronic pulse given off by an air burst nuke ? Crab Lungs Posted 3 February, 2010 Share Posted 3 February, 2010 It's weird... I was reading a trilogy of books by John Birmingham which features a similar future weapon called 'Metal Storm' aboard modern navy warships. Thinking it was so far fetched, I googled it... and lo and behold, it was genuine :-o As for your question... sadly, I have no idea :-(

hamster Posted 4 February, 2010 Share Posted 4 February, 2010 What's the bettimng that when our boys get hold of these they have to buy their own batteries for them. Obviously that would only happen under a Tory government though. Vote Labour LOL
OLYMPIC Posted 4 February, 2010 Share Posted 4 February, 2010 Not to worry under a Labour government the weapon would be 20 years late and about 10 times over budget.

That's why the russian Migs used valves instead of semiconductors, or so I'm told.
