saint_stevo Posted 3 February, 2010 Posted 3 February, 2010 (edited) Anyone installed yet? Guess Essruu hasn't....- http://www.pcworld.com/article/188384/iphone_os_313_update_brings_jailbreak_woes.html/ Edited 3 February, 2010 by saint_stevo
mdearlove Posted 3 February, 2010 Posted 3 February, 2010 no - not much in it and will kill your jailbreak if done.
thesaint sfc Posted 4 February, 2010 Posted 4 February, 2010 I literally jailbroke my iphone on the day that was released. Decided I'd rather have the new firmware than the jailbreak - so will re-jailbreak when redsn0w release an update!
Essruu Posted 4 February, 2010 Posted 4 February, 2010 I'll wait until Blackra1n releases an update. I use too many jailbroken Apps and features to worry about a not very useful firmware update.

I know its easier to jailbreak with blackra1n but as redsn0w seemed to have more followers I faffed around to get that to work.

SO16_Saint Posted 7 February, 2010 Posted 7 February, 2010 what does jailbraking your iphone mean? what will i be able to do that i cant now?
Essruu Posted 7 February, 2010 Posted 7 February, 2010 what does jailbraking your iphone mean? what will i be able to do that i cant now? Network unlocking, SB Settings, Themes, 3G Unrestrictor, Enabling Backgrounding, downloading Apps that aren't authorised/available on iTunes, 'free' Apps that you'd otherwise have to pay for on iTunes (eg TomTom Europe, FIFA 10 etc.) etc. I was perfectly happy with my iPhone pre-Jailbreak. Jailbreaking just opens up a wealth of additional userability, functionality and (for those who are happy to illegally download Apps that they'd otherwise have to pay for: cost effectiveness.
saint_stevo Posted 7 February, 2010 Author Posted 7 February, 2010 Anything dodgy about it? Warranty etc?
