twoandahalfstuds Posted 4 February, 2010 Share Posted 4 February, 2010 I love you! That number is brilliant! 2nd attempt and two tickets bought!!!!! Was gonna get my bro a ticket too but just discovered he's not actually on the system!!!! Unlucky for him - maybe serves him right for making my dad buy all his tickets in the past!!! Ah happy days, lets do those Skates! COME ON YOU REDS!!!!!
Marsdinho Posted 4 February, 2010 Share Posted 4 February, 2010 but its £28 per adult not 50.... You have to buy another ticket for another game though..... So, £28 for skates + £twenty odd for another game roughly £

Armitage Shanks Posted 4 February, 2010 Share Posted 4 February, 2010 Can't multiply it by 30,000 like he did though. I know - a bit rough and ready but the chap at the ticket office reckons that they will sell about 20,000 in linked sales on top of the pompey tickets already sold and the tickets sold to ST holders over the past few days. Well over £1.2 mill in ticket sales arising from the way they've sold this game

Well over £1.2 mill in ticket sales arising from the way they've sold this game That means that minus the Season Ticket Holders ( 13k , and the Pompey fans 4k ) that they are only expecting to link about 3k? Or if he means 'on top' , are they increasing our stadium capacity to 40k Challenge Anneka stylie? I would suggest that this guy has not got a clue. At the very most, a couple of thousand will make the unlinked sale... but the pictures on the news and in the papers will send everyone into a panic and I reckon they could be gone by today... tommorow at the latest. saints_is_the_south Posted 4 February, 2010 Share Posted 4 February, 2010 Good news for attendances for the rest of the season then, assuming the people who bought the linked tickets do actually turn up for those games. Leeds will sell out anyway imo but this likned ticket system should also see our average gate for the rest of the season at 22k + hopefully. I think by 20k linked sales he means the 33k capcity, minus the 4k Pompey and 10k Season Ticket Holders ... leaves 20k of tickets that will be linked? I may have read that wrong though. Even so, £50 x 20,000 = £1mil and on top of that we have the £20 x 10,000 season ticket holders = 0.2mil (rough average) making 1.2mil overall. As I said though this is all rough estimates and doesn't include TV money either
Matthew Le God Posted 4 February, 2010 Share Posted 4 February, 2010 Nor the fact that Pompey are owed roughly 50% of the gate receipts after costs. Basically we have all given Pompey £15 to help them!

Channon's Sideburns Posted 4 February, 2010 Share Posted 4 February, 2010 Just a question, so I know I'm not being daft. On the phone, you get strictly one ticket per customer number. In most of the fans photos, they seem to be holding more than one per person. Can anyone (Luker?) confirm that it's one per number at the Box Office also? Hope it is, cause I wanted one more and couldn't get one.

Clapham Saint Posted 4 February, 2010 Share Posted 4 February, 2010 At 9.15 3 IT chaps (including the national head appeared behind me and asked if they could take a look at my phone. Apparently it had registered enough outbound calls in the previous 30 mins, as i tried to get through to the 0800 number, to flag up on the system. Oops. Now the 01271 number is just giving me the engaged tone! FFS!!!!

StD Posted 4 February, 2010 Share Posted 4 February, 2010 Wow! What a morning! I got into work early at 8:30 to start getting through on the phone. Literally hundreds of phone calls to the main ticket office number and I got nowhere. Unfortunaltely my work blocks all decent websites so I couldn't get on here earlier to get the 01271 number. Just before lunchtime the main ticket office number has an automated response telling me the 01271 number, I call a few hundred times more and finally get through. The sound of a phone ringing on the other end and the ticket office's holding music has never sounded so good! Apparently the normal ticket office phone line has had issues all morning and only a trickle of calls were coming through to the call centre (not based at the stadium so it wasn't that phone callers were getting neglected in preference to the hardy souls who've been at the stadium since the early hours). Now, at 1:30pm I've just got off the phone (5 hours and at least a thousand useless phone calls later). Two block 40 tickets for poopy and two block 34 tickets for Leeds (apparently the northam is already sold out for Leeds?!) on their way!!! Perhaps camping out wasn't such as bad idea afterall... Edit: haven't got sacked from work yet either... bonus!

Lord Duckhunter Posted 4 February, 2010 Share Posted 4 February, 2010 Just got through now. They tried to tell me I'd come through to the wrong line and needed to call back. I stood my ground and she booked the tickets. Dont understand, perhaps the Company dealing with it cant get on with their normal ticket dealing business and want people to call the freephone line only. If they tell you you've come through to the wrong line, dont hang up.
