Thursday Tickets Sales

There is definitely a case for a better system to be in place to allocate tickets on a loyalty basis, but those that are panicing don't worry, leave it for a couple of hours for the initial rush to go and call back after lunch, there will still be tickets and you'll have a better chance of getting through first time.

It is good to see demand up this high, plus with the sell out expected for the Dons game in the JPT hopefully it will have a knock-on effect getting people back in the habit of doing home games and boost attendances for the rest of the season.

Some of the people on here whinging and moaning sum up society today. The use of the word "unfair" is so pathetic its unreal. I haven't got one yet and will keep trying all day if needs be. If I don't get one then that's tough. Next year I might get a season ticket.

Everyone who is a Saints fan could have guaranteed themselves a ticket by buying a full or half season ticket. If you didn't and you now have to wait or miss out totally then its your fault and nobody elses.

My mates family had a whip round for his grandad, as a Christmas/Birthday present they all chipped in for his season ticket £200 between them all.

Congratulations. This is the stupidest post on the internet ever.

Wow. Some of the posts on this thread today. Wow. If you get a ticket, well done. If you don't, well suck it up and get on with it. Don't ***** and moan about 'how the system screwed you'.

Missing the point. The system has failed on its own terms (ST holders ordering more than one ticket each which is unfair) and could work better (actually rewarding those who go to games but whatever reason don't have a ST -and there are plenty of legit reasons. Not saying the the system is unfair -since everybody knows the current rules- but it could be made fairer).

And just to be clear I got my ticket in the post a few days ago - so it has nothing to do with sour grapes.

Except that I actually paid for the train and you have been sitting on your arse in the warmth calling a freephone number. Also Ive had a season ticket since 1998 and the only season I haven't had one is this season because of uni.

Unfortunately it is not as easy as just popping on the train and standing outside the ticket office on a Thursday morning for most.

I work in East Yorkshire. A train alone would cost nigh-on £120 quid. Plus, when you call from a mobile it is not free. Hence why I've already spent £15 to listen to some annoying geezer and terrible music that makes Sidney Samson sound like a Grammy Award-nominee.

This ticket system is a farce. Granted Liebherr and co have had other parts of the infrastructure to sort out since coming to town but this should be high in the agenda after today.

And if I don't get a ticket I too will hunt down the automated voice man and string him up by his...

At least you were clear. Oh no wait, you lost me when you said 'The system has failed on its own terms (ST holders ordering more than one ticket each which is unfair)' and 'Not saying the the system is unfair -since everybody knows the current rules- but it could be made fairer).'

I know exactly what youre saying. Clear as ..... mud. What youre saying is its unfair, but youre not saying its unfair, but you're saying it could be made fairer.

Glad I cleared that up.

is that number real?

Sure is. Before calling it I stuck it into a Google search and it refers you to the UI site. Rang it up and got through immediately and booked tickets for both. Its genuine as when I gave him my customer number he read my address back to me. Some tickets still left in block 41 as well.
