Transfer deadline day thread.

In unrelated news, Natalie Sawyer on Sky Sports News looks flipping fantastic.

She does. If the world was about to end, I'd most like to be in the SSN studio, r***ing my way through Natalie Sawyer, Millie Clode, Charlotte Jackson, Georgie Thompson et al.

On more related topics, is the emergency loan window open from next week? If it is, I don't think we'll bring anyone else in, unless the right price can be achieved.

Loan deals, prem to prem teams. I dont think they should be allowed imo.

Agreed. I posted this on another thread a few minutes before I saw your comment:

I think it is wrong that players can be loaned to teams in the same division as their parent club. Obviously the player cannot play against their parent team, therefore it gives them an unfair advantage over their competitors.

But she doesn't have a trout pout...

WOuld be a shame if she's damaged goods. Damn Skates. We've got a duty to preserve Millie Clode. WHo's with me?

:smt060 Oh how I remember her doing a report on surfing and falling all over the place on her board.

Or for the Georgie lovers...

Ok, this could potentially put this thread in the Muppet Show so I'll pass on the Georgie pic, it's racy.

In the Guardian transfer deadline live article:

12.53pm: "My father is the cleaner at Southampton's training ground," says Robin White. "There's a Bulgarian lad there called Robko Byalov being put through a medical, apparently." There you are, you heard it here first. If it's true. Which it almost certainly isn't.

I'd have to agree with the last comment!

Given that even Google has never heard of him, I suspect this may well be FACT.

Yesterday Warnock said

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11700_5903676,00.html

I doubt he would come out and say something like that if we had not had a bid placed. With them in admin you would have to assume today is the biggest day for their admin team as is the last chance to make money from players for 5 months.

So if he is saying going to us is a step in the wrong direction and he would only be going because of the pay cheque then that leads me to believe we probably have had a bid accepted and have spoken to him.

Which makes me think we will probably be signing him today.

From BBC transfer Ticker:

BBC Sport's Simon Austin: "I've just been to interview a sports consultant at Deloitte. They estimate only £21m has been spent in the January transfer window so far, compared to £170m last year and £150m in January 2008. There haven't been any £10m signings this year and only one for £5m, which Spurs paid Portsmouth for Younes Kaboul. There were seven £10m signings last January - three were made by Manchester City (Nigel de Jong, Craig Bellamy and Wayne Bridge), three by Spurs (Wilson Palacios, Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane) and one by Arsenal (Andrey Arshavin).

--------------

Interesting that so little money has been spent.

We must have out spent quite a few Prem clubs this window.
