I know Pardew said that's it but I still guess he will bring one more in that's not cup tied.

Hopefully this thread can be updated with all our speculation and other deals that are happening so I don't have to visit so many websites to get the latest info on any team like Portsmuff.

Off out for a all day walk in the Mid Wales countryside.

So I predict 1 permantely out

1 out on loan + 1 in.

Sell-on fee?

for no aparrant reason, i wouldn't have thought so.... would admin have anything to do with it? making all previous deals nul and void?

I want to see us sign Arfield and that young quick Crawley striker, Danns would be good too

Not enough signings yet? Are your initials HR? :)

Like the BBC link. Will have to watch to see the Fratton Exodus. Like the twittered comment:

From AFCBPETER on Twitter: "Firesale continues at Pompey. Fan with big hat spotted outside White Hart Lane."

Maybe some signings are still in the pipeline for us but as Bosmans agreed now and pencilled in for the summer when their contracts expire?

Like most, and certainly after saturday when we were crying out for that type of player, I'd like to see us sign Danns, but i suppose that will be down to the administrators of CP as this is the last day they can get any decent money in. Its funny how 6mths can can a football club, back in the summer we were at the mercy of money men!!

Not strictly Saints news for January 2010 but it looks like James Beattie (remember him?) will be plying his trade at Upton Park from tomorrow.

So maybe - just maybe - we'll see him back at St Mary's next season playing in claret and blue in the Championship...??

Ill give you 5000/1 on that tony...

From Andrew, east London, via text to 81111: "Currently working on the West Ham website, been asked to format the headline 'Beattie Ful'. James is on his way."

I agree that they both look exciting prospects, but both are playing at lower levels and you can't put inexperienced players into a side that isn't hitting top form already.

I'd much rather go for Danns,we need dependable midfielders and he has a better background (and at least Forte would know where he was on the pitch).

perhaps if Gillett move is resurected by Donny Stock will make the switch. Other than that I can't see anything happening.

Do all loans need to be finalised today as well or can they be done after the window closes?

To clarify, this was the 5000/1 shot.

So its, Beattie to sign for W/H, W/H to get relegated, and Saints to get promoted.

Danny Higgenbotham in on loan from Derby County and David Prutton in for £2.5m from Forest.

Brought to you by 'UK Transfer Window Deadline Day Gold'

That would be ironic (if true) as we Paid about £2.5 mill for Prutton in the beginning.:smt036

Brilliant signings if they come off.

Higgy was Derby's Player of the Season last year and is really highly rated by their fans.

Prutton is England U-21 skipper and a great prospect for the future. Expect us to at least double that fee when he plays for the full England side and we sell to someone like Spurs or Liverpool.

Good work by WGS and Rupert.

I'm rubbish at maths, but I'd take you up on that bet too...

If there is about a 20% chance of West Ham getting relegated; about 14% chance of Saints being promoted; and (finger in air) 10% change of BT signing for West Ham, then my bad maths makes the probability of all three events occuring about 0.28% (Correct me if I'm wrong!). If I'm close to right (unlikely!), wouldn't sensible odds to offer be about 350/1 or less?

Ah..... So if WH were to wear a shirt other than claret & blue at SMS......?

I thought it was 20% of anything over £650K ???

correct so if he goes for lets say £700,000 then we get £10,000. Any rumour on the fee? Every little helps.

Sell-on clauses used to mean a lot to the club, but money seems to be no problem these days. You don't get the impression that Pardew has had to sell in order to buy, or that there has been a lot of effort to reduce the squad size, which must add up to a hefty wage bill at the moment. It would be nice to see one or two go today, as too many players limits opportunities for people to show what they can do in the reserves.

Sell-on fee?

I saw that. Apparently true. Frankly, I never saw evidence of him being good enough for the Premiership. Now Dexter, was another kettle of fish.

Agreed! Best definitely won't cut it in the Prem but Blackstock could.

In unrelated news, Natalie Sawyer on Sky Sports News looks flipping fantastic.

I expect she's seeing John Terry.
