Tac-tics Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 A pair of Pompey girls just got called "gruesome twosome" by the channel 5 host also I lol'd when they sung Portsmouth City :S its not even in the club name. Diarra and Belhadj look very good.
marc_saint Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 yeah 1-0. And the Portugese lot missed a pen
Weston Super Saint Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 Thought the pikey's bell was b-anned from Fratton....
Tac-tics Posted 18 September, 2008 Author Posted 18 September, 2008 Thought the pikey's bell was b-anned from Fratton.... yeah me to. bloody skates
Ponty Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 Good to see a Hampshire team performing in Europe again.
saint lard Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 Good to see a Hampshire team performing.
bridge too far Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 Honestly though - you have to hand it to the crowd. Constant singing even if it is somewhat limited.
Huffton Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 Good to see a Hampshire team performing in Europe again. Yep, AFC Totton are off to a great start. A bit tenuous I know but Totton is in Europe.
Ponty Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 It sounds like the commentator keeps mentioning "Benny Hill" when the ball is in midfield.
doughnutman Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 Yep, AFC Totton are off to a great start. A bit tenuous I know but Totton is in Europe. Don't forget Eastleigh!!!
OldNick Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 they are a good strong side. I did chuckle when they were singing give us a wave Harry. Where are all the he might be back but I'll never sing his name fans gone? I know fans are fickle but it is a lol.
saint_stevo Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 Danny Mills will have his penis in JPFCW's bell by now im sure. What a total tossa
mack rill Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 And the next installment is in two weeks at 9-30 PM,,,,,,,I bet you fiddlers cant wait:cool:
Saintandy666 Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 I was in Portsmouth today doing geography coursework. Haven't been tehre in a few years. Gunwharf Quays is quite nice, but I have to say although Portsmouth do have the better football team, Southampton as a city is far superior.
Al de Man Posted 19 September, 2008 Posted 19 September, 2008 Our firm is doing work at Pompey "Uni". The joy of mingling with students and skates.
Ponty Posted 19 September, 2008 Posted 19 September, 2008 Wasn't a bad watch tbf. Better than some of the big names serve up in the CL.
maggo Posted 19 September, 2008 Posted 19 September, 2008 Fratton Park's an absolute dump but they sure know how to blow up a storm down there. When they really get going , as they did last night, there's not a ground in the country that comes anywhwere near it for atmosphere.
warsash saint Posted 19 September, 2008 Posted 19 September, 2008 Fratton Park's an absolute dump but they sure know how to blow up a storm down there. When they really get going , as they did last night, there's not a ground in the country that comes anywhwere near it for atmosphere. Smells fishy
PompeyLass Posted 19 September, 2008 Posted 19 September, 2008 Do I sense a bit of praise coming from some of you ? For the record, I did not join in with the Harry songs as I can forget but not forgive, neither did I sing the anti scum songs. I feel that they have no place in our ground anymore as you are no longer any sort of competition for us. As for the bell being banned, it never was. Mr ***t features threw all his toys out of the pram & said that he wouldn't be bringing it or the drum etc for a few games. Personally I think that the ground would've been rocking without him there but he's probably woken up this morning thinking that the great atmosphere was all down to him !
Hatch Posted 19 September, 2008 Posted 19 September, 2008 When they really get going , as they did last night, there's not a ground in the country that comes anywhwere near it for atmosphere. absolute bo!!ocks.
scott_saints Posted 19 September, 2008 Posted 19 September, 2008 I do think we still have a larger fanbase than Pompey, but atleast they know how to support their team better than we do.
Toomer Posted 19 September, 2008 Posted 19 September, 2008 Just a reminder our first venture into Europe was in 69/70 and we put 5 past the same side at The Dell.
OldNick Posted 19 September, 2008 Posted 19 September, 2008 Just a reminder our first venture into Europe was in 69/70 and we put 5 past the same side at The Dell.wow they didnt do well that team must now be in their 70's and pompey only put 2 past them

Where was all the support for the team when they hadn't scored at home for months?
OldNick Posted 19 September, 2008 Posted 19 September, 2008 Shame they only do it when their live on tv! Where was all the support for the team when they hadn't scored at home for months? didnt they reduce prices by 50%. Still a good team and look useful. it is amazing how james and distin look so much better than they did for Man c.
Saintandy666 Posted 19 September, 2008 Posted 19 September, 2008 I do think we still have a larger fanbase than Pompey, but atleast they know how to support their team better than we do. Give it ten years of the same and it would have switched.
saintkiptanui Posted 19 September, 2008 Posted 19 September, 2008 This thread is full of thicko's. Do you bunch of gooks really think the atmosphere is always like that? It's there first ever game in europe what the f*ck do you expect. ****ing gooks.
mack rill Posted 19 September, 2008 Posted 19 September, 2008 Give it ten years of the same and it would have switched. Er i think you mean months,,,,,,HTH;)
Corporate Ho Posted 19 September, 2008 Posted 19 September, 2008 they are a good strong side. I did chuckle when they were singing give us a wave Harry. Where are all the he might be back but I'll never sing his name fans gone? I know fans are fickle but it is a lol. Look Nick Nack, I know you demonstrate on a daily basis that you're not one of the sharpest on here but try and grasp the fact that some Pompey fans still hate Redknapp. Just like some Saints fans still hate Lowe but some are quite pleased he's back. Different people have different opinions. I always liked Redknapp and was glad he came back. Others have different ideas. Not rocket science is it? Shame they only do it when their live on tv! Where was all the support for the team when they hadn't scored at home for months? Given that last night's crowd was only a little above what we normally get I'd say the support was pretty much what we've been getting for the past few months. And how do you know we only do it when we're live on TV? Do you secretly go to all the games? The only alternative to that suggestion is that you're completely full of **** and have no idea what you're talking about. Which one is it?

In your own little world of 'Corp no mates' you beleieve what you like. You said you didnt like HR but now change to suit your arguement.Typical fan who has only been going a few years.
Chorlton Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 I think in Corps defence he did always say he rated Redkanpp when he was here, and thought he was a good manager when many other skates were wishing him dead. My skate mates were saying that was the best atmosphere at fratton in ages after it had died off the last couple of years due to Westwood and der der der songs.
Corporate Ho Posted 23 September, 2008 Posted 23 September, 2008 You said you didnt like HR but now change to suit your arguement.Typical fan who has only been going a few years. In Corps defence he did always say he rated Redkanpp when he was here, and thought he was a good manager when many other skates were wishing him dead. So, Nick Nack. A Saints fan has corroborated that I always said I rated Redknapp which is completely the opposite of what you claimed. So, were you making it up to try and prove a point or is it just the senile dementia kicking in again? I think we should be told

I think we should be told of course the poster knows all about you and your statements, he must be right.
Merovingian Posted 24 September, 2008 Posted 24 September, 2008 I think your 3-1 loss to Rotherham last night goes half way to making me feel a little more glee after our drubbing
Corporate Ho Posted 24 September, 2008 Posted 24 September, 2008 of course the poster knows all about you and your statements, he must be right. To be fair Nick Nack I don't think he has to know all about me and my statements. I think he just needs to be able to read. That seems to be what he did and he read post by me saying I still rated Redknapp when some other Pompey fans were saying less complimentary things. Care to admit you were wrong? Thought not

Corporate Ho Posted 24 September, 2008 Posted 24 September, 2008 Has Baj returned your cheque then Corp? No, the bastardo still has my money and I've not been sorted yet. Time to start the instate the Ho campaign I think. Come on, who's with me? What? No-one?
CabbageFace Posted 24 September, 2008 Posted 24 September, 2008 No, the bastardo still has my money and I've not been sorted yet. Time to start the instate the Ho campaign I think. Come on, who's with me? What? No-one? I am.

Thought not It depends when he read your post. It had to be over two seasons ago to have any weight.Typical of you Johnny come latelys you spout all your love and sing his name when he was Judas a few weeks before. You can carry proclaiming your undying love for him, but Im sceptical.Show us the posts
Chorlton Posted 24 September, 2008 Posted 24 September, 2008 I feel like I am being cited in a divorce case here. I think you're both great. But I do remember Corp saying he rated Redknapp when a lot of skates were slagging him off. I think the posts stood out as many of the skates on here were saying how bad a manager he was when we 'nabbed' him, whereas Corp did keep saying that he rated him. That is why the posts stood out. I would like to have it put on record that I thought Redknapp was quite funny for a while when he was at West Ham and I even read his book. Then I realised that the bloke is a self serving qunt and I didn't like him at the skates, us or back at the skates. So like Corp, I have been consistent.
Hatch Posted 24 September, 2008 Posted 24 September, 2008 Skates 0 Chelsea 4 Just thought I would mention it
SOTONS EAST SIDE Posted 24 September, 2008 Posted 24 September, 2008 4-0 4-0 4-0 4-0 4-0 4-0 thought i'd mention it as well!
StuRomseySaint Posted 24 September, 2008 Posted 24 September, 2008 I too could mention 10 goals against in the last 4 days, however instead I will mention the fact that there were more than 5000 tickets left this afternoon for a match against one of the best teams in the world. Oooh errr...... Wigan of the South
