saint lard Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 Scotland,Northern Ireland,Republic Of Ireland and Wales have agreed to stage This tournament from 2011. Can't help feeling We have missed out,i used to love the regular "Home Nations" matches.
Hatch Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 Those teams always have the summer off so have time for it in their schedule.
toofarnorth Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 We definitely dont have a busy summer in 2011. Think its played in February and May.
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 Those teams always have the summer off so have time for it in their schedule. including England this summer.
Thedelldays Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 wouldnt want to play them...their "banter" with us (or what they try to call it) goes too far most of the time...
saint_stevo Posted 18 September, 2008 Posted 18 September, 2008 ASBO/Hooligan central. Avoid at all costs, last thing i want is an angry scot chasing me up Wembley Way!
Danny Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 wouldnt want to play them...their "banter" with us (or what they try to call it) goes too far most of the time... Of course, England fans are whiter than white, aren't they? (No pun intended!)
Thedelldays Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Of course, England fans are whiter than white, aren't they? (No pun intended!) of course not.. when you have been in differentr parts of scotland during an england game (which i have many times) then you MIGHT know what I am on about I would rather we kept out
Badger Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 That tournament will become nothing more than an 'Anti-English love in'. The most satisfying part of that tournament for those involved will be that England are not partaking in it,as if we had been excluded rather than having vetoed it.
SuperMikey Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 I love the way that the English FA seem to think they're supreme to other nations. There are no tournaments that summer, so why not? Plus, I think Scotland would cream England on current form (even if we have got GB as our manager...). ACH AYE THE NOO.
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Minnows. I wish England could beat France home and away in a competitive match like Scotland or beat Euro 2008 champs Spain at home like Northern Ireland.
Johnny Shearer Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 A couple of the papers have the French FA wanting to do a tournament 6 Nations style with England, Spain, Germany and Italy involved.
Deppo Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 A couple of the papers have the French FA wanting to do a tournament 6 Nations style with England, Spain, Germany and Italy involved. Ooh,**** that...actually,can we just settle for the home nations one?

Recent form of us stuffing Croatia? Edited 21 September, 2008 by saint_bert
anothersaintinsouthsea Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 There is nothing of value for taking part in such tournaments for England. We need to use friendlies to develop less experienced players, get comfortable with different formations and get used to playing different styles of international football. A home nations competition will be frenetic and not suitable for the above IMO.
