Avenue Saint Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 Davis Thomas Fonte Jaidi Harding Lallana (right mid) Morgan Gillet Puncheon Lambert Barnard thoughts?
Saint2Hotty Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 Davis Thomas Fonte Jaidi Harding Lallana (right mid) Morgan Gillet Puncheon Lambert Barnard thoughts? Was Puncheon signed in time to play today?
The Fat Controller Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 Davis Thomas, Jaidi, Fonte, Harding Antonio Wotton Schneiderlin Holmes Waigo Lambert
Avenue Saint Posted 30 January, 2010 Author Posted 30 January, 2010 just realised the stockport build up thread. mods delete if u wish. apologies.
The Fat Controller Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 Lallana and Barnard from the bench later if needed
Avenue Saint Posted 30 January, 2010 Author Posted 30 January, 2010 no Puncheon not signed in time shame.
Avenue Saint Posted 30 January, 2010 Author Posted 30 January, 2010 Davis Thomas, Jaidi, Fonte, Harding Antonio Wotton Schneiderlin Holmes Waigo Lambert with the best will in the world, just dont fancy wotton in middle, especially in a midfield 4? we get run over too easily.
Bad Wolf Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 Maybe we should give Lambert a rest and put Waigo upfront with Barnard. He's looking a bit tired lately is Rickie
Minsk Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 (edited) I would go with: Davis Thomas Jaidi Fonte Harding Antonio Morgan Gillett Holmes Barnard Waigo Subs: Bart, Otsemebor, Mills, Wotton, Gobern, Lallana, Lambert Edited 30 January, 2010 by Minsk
Mewsta Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 David Thomas Jaidi Fonte Mills Antonio Morgan Gillett Holmes Barnard Lambert I think Mills should keep the left back slot.... he's been playing well!
paulwantsapint Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 If Rickie wasn't a former stockport player I would have left him on bench but as we all know players always play mom when facing former clubs or is it only ex-saints?
Window Cleaner Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 If Rickie wasn't a former stockport player I would have left him on bench but as we all know players always play mom when facing former clubs or is it only ex-saints? I doubt if Rickie will let himself be dropped against Stockport, he probably gets a goal bonus, same as Lallana, won't want to miss out on a couple of easy ones will they. I expect our side to be very similar to Tuesday's maybe even with James.
Window Cleaner Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 I think Mills should keep the left back slot.... he's been playing well! Mills is also quite well spoken-for a footballer, surprised me a bit.
Window Cleaner Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 Saints: Davis, Otsemobor, Fonte, Seaborne, Mills, Antonio, Wotton, Schneiderlin, Holmes, Lambert, Barnard. Subs: Bialkowski, Harding, Thomas, Perry, Jaidi, Gillett, Papa Waigo. so much for resting Lambert then, see Fonté+ seabourne is the first choice CH pairing. Binkies
SuperSAINT Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 Saints: Davis, Otsemobor, Fonte, Seaborne, Mills, Antonio, Wotton, Schneiderlin, Holmes, Lambert, Barnard. Subs: Bialkowski, Harding, Thomas, Perry, Jaidi, Gillett, Papa Waigo. so much for resting Lambert then, see Fonté+ seabourne is the first choice CH pairing. Binkies 1st time I can ever recall us having such a strong back four (on the bench!)
Window Cleaner Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 No thomas otherwise looks okish.... Pardew seems to be determined to play his signings whenever he can.Why not as long as it doesn't go tits up that's OK by me.
S-Clarke Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 Disappointed for Jaidi - he's one of the best defenders at this level, if not the best. He's not done anything wrong for us this year...but i guess Pard's feels he needs to play his new players.
brett24 Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 Feel Jaidi must play (unless he has a knock), cannot see where the goals are going to come from today. Be lucky to scrape a draw!
brett24 Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 Meant win not draw! 1-0 with a nervous last 10 mins.
Shroppie Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 Can't see how Seabourne gets in ahead of Jaidi, unless Jaidi's not 100%. Also prefer Thomas at LB
Window Cleaner Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 Can't see how Seabourne gets in ahead of Jaidi, unless Jaidi's not 100%. Also prefer Thomas at LB you might but AP picks the team.
Leicestersaint Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 I am surpirsed to see Otsemobor picked ahead of Thomas - people at Brentford told me he was poor and also surprised about Seaborne being ahead of Jaidi. We had better win today!
Window Cleaner Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 Lallana rested? Injured apparently( or being sold)
Neilza Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 (edited) I'm willing to give Seabourne more time as he is only young, however in the two away games he's played in, he was very poor in both. He doesnt win headers cleanly, like against Millwall he headed across the box to the guy who eventually scored. Jaidi imo is 10x the CB seabourne is and should be starting Edited 30 January, 2010 by Neilza
dubai_phil Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 Is Harding 100% fit again yet? If he is then interesting he kept Mills in the team. If he's still coming back then no surprise really
SFC Forever Posted 30 January, 2010 Posted 30 January, 2010 I am not surprised as Mills has done well.
