swannymere Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 In times of need i think we should ignore what's happened previously, bury the hatchet so to speak and offer the hand of friendship to our less well off fishy-friends down the road. I suggest a bucket collection before, during and after the match to scrape together some much needed funds for the blue few, hell we might raise enough to pay for the teams bus fare to and yes indeed from St.Mary's. Any other fund raising ideas?

Any other fund raising ideas? I was thinking of having a whip round to fly a plane over the stadium on the 13th with a banner saying "Bye bye pompey, pompey bye bye". I think this will show that when it comes to **** taking we have more class and more style.

St Lej Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 yeah i'm sure that will be hilarious while they are beating us comfortably with their superior team. they are still bringing players in and how many have actually left? Chill dude
Legod Third Coming Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 (edited) It is alleged they have now been issued with a second winding up order from Gaydarman. We will have a bye into the 6th round yet. Edited 29 January, 2010 by Legod Third Coming Legality... ;)
St Lej Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 They have now been issued with a second winding up order from Gaydarman. Pinch me!
gaz Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 Did they have a whip round for us? Nope. Should we have a whip round for them? Nope.
Sour Mash Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 They have now been issued with a second winding up order from Gaydarman. We will have a bye into the 6th round yet. Unless you've got decent evidence to back that up mate, I'd give such postings a swerve.
Matthew Le God Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 They have now been issued with a second winding up order from Gaydarman. We will have a bye into the 6th round yet. There are actually three different parties currently on the winding up order atm.
dubai_phil Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 Unless you've got decent evidence to back that up mate, I'd give such postings a swerve. The trail of deduction is covered in the takeover saga thread, and the links are there (unless someone has edited wiki of course)
Gis Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 I fear it would be throwing money away........ a bit like the contributions we all made when Saints were in admin. A horrible reality when everyone was trying to do their best to do what was right; but did our donations then really help our club? Personally I hope they survive somehow as life really would never be the same without them. We need them like City need United, like Liverpool need Everton, like Rangers need Celtic, etc
dubai_phil Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 But yes, we should have a bucket collection, in fact I'm so moved by their plight, I'd be happy to throw a hundred thousand into the kitty to get it started. Vietnamese Dong that is of course
OldNick Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 Bucket collection. Ive one down my shed, its lost its handle will that do??
instinct Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 whip round raising prob £1,000 at most won't really help a debt of £60 million would be good as a ****take though, if we could raise about £40 and give it to them with one of those novelty cheques

Block 5 Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 I seem to remember that there will be a bucket collection at SMS tomorrow however it is for the Haiti DEC appeal and not for those fishwives down the road.
Mouldy Coat Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 we could all do a sponsored walk. I'm sure Avram Grant will be walking soon anyway da dum shaa

Toomer Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 Good god no! I don't even like paying for parking when I have to go down there as that is going into their city funds.

Secret Site Agent Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 I'll happy give them a whip, around the head And they can have the nut from the top of my walnut whip, (do they still make them?) And I'll give them a Mr Whippy turd. I'll give them a picture of Jeremy White,Iain Dale and Paul Burstow, (tory Whip, Labour Whip and Lib Dem Whip respectivly)
Saint Sanso Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 I love this idea.. saints fans get together, quick whip around for Pompey, we hopefully generate media over it, hand over our donation.. pompey post a message of thanks on a website (not their's obviously). It's sarcastic irony in all its glory.. Lets do it!
alehouseboys Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 Do you think they'd appreciate our generosity as much as our friends from Bournemuff did? Let's not bother.
VectisSaint Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 In times of need i think we should ignore what's happened previously, bury the hatchet so to speak and offer the hand of friendship to our less well off fishy-friends down the road. Sorry, I have no spare buckets to donate. I would have thought money would be more useful to them.
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 whip round raising prob £1,000 at most won't really help a debt of £60 million would be good as a ****take though, if we could raise about £40 and give it to them with one of those novelty cheques I very rarely LOL on here but this is the exception to the rule . The sight of a huge cardboard cheque being presented to PFC from Saints fans to the value of £1.46 would be absurdly funny - lets do it .
RedAndWhite91 Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 I wouldn't even give Pompey an STI, let alone any of my money.
Block 5 Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 I wouldn't even give Pompey an STI, let alone any of my money. Used to be an STD in my day.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 Used to be an STD in my day. How times change
westofshannonsaint Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 empty your wallets for the blue few, donate those out of date johnies
pedg Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 Maybe there should be a bucket collection to pay the hire fees for the channel island kids training place that pompey renegaded on? Long as they then drop the association with pompey obviously!
Saint_clark Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 Go on then, i'll chuck a load of monopoly money in.
.comsaint Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 same not even the steam of my hot p-ss How nice :-| ....from a lady too! I'd pay good money to see that though...
Evil Monkey Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 This will work best if we do it during the cup game. A bucket full of coins being passed around the Northam? What could go wrong?

ringwood Posted 29 January, 2010 Posted 29 January, 2010 Reckon paying that bill in the Channel Isles would be a great coup, even get a club ambassador to hand over the payment, anyone think of anyone suitable? great PR for the Saints and of course Sky would be invited
