Will P*mpey last till the derby?

I reckon Pompey will survive. They will take money from whoever offers. It will not matter where the money comes from. I mean wasn't Gaydamaks money from his gun running daddy’s dirty dealings? Now there is a strong possibility that a well know dictator’s son could buy the club.

They are like bad smell that doesn’t go away. I have a feeling they will come out of this ok and they will probably stay up too. All the TV pundits will be falling over themselves saying how they have triumphed over adversity and what a great team spirit Pompey have and how great their fans are etc…

There is something really dodgy going on at Pompey, I mean we all knew about the tax rumours of Redknapp and Storrie but I think the corruption runs a lot deeper at that club, probably at lot more than we currently know about. PFC just stinks of corruption actually it just stinks full stop ;)

They will be ok to play us you can be sure of that, I must have been one of the few Saints fans who didn’t want to play them in the cup. I really didn’t want to get them because think the players they currently have will be stronger than any team we can put out, I just hope they have an off day come Saturday the 13th.

Why would anyone want to buy them along with the debts, lack of infrastructure and high running costs?

I think this is the end. AFC Portsmouth created by the fans will rise from the flames.

'On a lighter note, what do you think they should build on the Fratton land when the inevitible happens? Flats? Tesco? STD Clinic? Family Planning Centre?'

Pikey park...**** on your own seat toilets, room for 100 caravans preferably pre-1970s...or you could continue without applying for change of use & call it the municipal dump?

Maybe someone who has more money than sense or someone who wants to legitimise their dirty money. As unlikely as it seems that someone will come along and save pompey Its not outside the edge of reason. I hope you are right though, I just have a feeling they will get out of it and the media will going crazy for Pompey again like the season they won the cup.

As understand it.... Gydamak is owed £9 million to be paid 31st Jan.

Gydamak has acquired large portion of the land/properties surrounding Nottarf Krap. The money used to pay the wages over the last few months was borrowed using Nottarf Krap as security from a gentleman who has property developements as part of his portfolio.

Pure speculation ... but .... with Gydamak owning the surrounding land and this loan secured against Krap ... This would if combined make a nice redevelopment site in a run down area of a run down city....

However if PFC is wound up the technicalities of whom actually owes Nottarf Krap could make a lot of solicitors a lot of money... Would it be in Gydamaks interest for PFC to go bust. It will be interesting to see if he forces his claim for his £9 million or not...

Steve, what would be the cost if they replaced the videos with hand-drawn pictures of the action as drawn by members of the crowd? Might be a nice little cost-saving measure there. They could also probably ask for part of the fee for reproducing the fixture list to be returned: there's no point in paying to show fixtures past February.

Will the extra fingers be a help or a hinderance to there drawing abilitys? :s

I just clicked on their site (I know, the shame) and note that they are having a 65% off sale. Hilarious. Also, a big banner asking for a £50 deposit from some betting outfit. It'll take more than that...

WOW that site is just full of advertising I guess thats what paying for it.

I dont understand how they can be so much in the crap and still not be in administration though. We were no-where near the state they are now in and the bank pulled the plug and we went into admin the same day.

Is it because they are in the prem and the FA are keeping the banks off there back as they dont want a prem club to fall? Or is there enough proof to suggest there is money tucked away somewhere by this arab market stall owner and its just a case of releasing it?

No-one is keeping any creditor off their backs. They don't have a bank facility and don't owe any money to any bank. All the money they owe is to private individuals i.e. Gadamak, Chainrai, Campbell; other football clubs i.e. Rennes, Udinese and Lens; HMRC or small companies i.e. webhosts, caterers, etc.

As we know HMRC have issed a winding up order and some of the other smaller creditors might attach themselves to that, or issue their own. Gaydamak and Chainrai, who are the biggest creditors by far, won't pull the plug because there is no chance of them getting anything back if they do. The only way for PFC to get out of this is to get in serious external investment - selling players won't raise enough - to be able to pay off Gaydamak and Chainrai. That means a new owner who is prepared to put in the best part of £30M on day one to pay off debts and who is also prepared to take on responsibility for the remainder of Gaydamak's debt payable in a couple of years time of another £20M or so. No amount of player sales is going to generate that amount of money.

In the current climate I guess it's not easy finding that sort of person, but who knows, they might get very lucky.

I think you may misunderstand the meaning of the word 'fact'.

No, I don't thank you. I qualified any statement not fact by IMO. There was a lot of speculation etc on here based on lack of understanding of corporate and insolvency laws and the way in which acquisitions work. For example, the OP is about Pompey being wound up before we play them - that simply will not happen. There were further confusions over their right to loan players.

Make of my post what you like, I have nothing to prove to you or anyone on here - just trying to enlighten you.

That's really interesting and has ressonance with a few things I have heard. Without doubt the 'property' of PFC will play a very important role in their future.

They've been through this before and they are not actually Portsmouth Football Club with a 100+ year history.

To the best of my limited knowledge they are Portsmouth City Football Club Ltd reformed out of administration around 10 years ago.

They have left creditors behind once before (and will probably do so again this time) and as such not only did they get an unfair advantage in buying the FA Cup and Premier league survival with money they didnt have but they were re-founded and promoted using cash that should have been paid to creditors.

If it happens again then one assumes the current penalties applied will have some affect but maybe, just maybe, this is karma (or chickens coming home to roost).

As Pompey have to pay Gaydamak the balance - £22m, in 2012, it is not in his interests that they go under !!

Bloke in a Pompey shirt was about to throw himself off The Northam Bridge and end it all, but is stopped by a copper.

You can't jump off this bridge, it'll lead to hours of disruption to people around here. Anyway why don't you jump off a bridge in portsmuff ..... to which the skate replied ......

Haven't you seen the friggin queues down there?

:p

From the company that runs the site for Pompey...

Media Statement – Portsmouth Football Club Website

Juicy has worked with Portsmouth Football Club for the past 3 years and has good relationships across the business, as supporters and fans ourselves, as much as suppliers.

Juicy has been in continual communication with the finance team in recent months about managing the costs of the website but were forced, due to payment plan breaches, to take the site down earlier today. A new payment plan with the club has now been agreed and the site will be made live with immediate effect.

Juicy Director Pete Holliday, said: “We understand how passionate fans are about Portsmouth and want to see the site live just as much as they do. We even had a supporter contact us today to offer to pay to get the site live again! We’re proud of the work we have done with Portsmouth, and are pleased to be working through these issues with the club so that the site can remain live and continue to serve the needs of the club and its community.”

What is annoying me at the moment is plenty of people on here are stating facts on pompey's demise and how much trouble they are in etc etc, but from what I can see they are doing a good job at keeping the ship afloat with the minimum possible expenditure, keeping the creditors at bay with payment plan extensions etc.

As things stand they still have a fairly strong team and in all probability will beat us easily on the 13th.

Now that might change in the next couple of days with the wages not being paid, or others leaving, but they will still be able to fulfill the fixture against us in administration and probably with a strong team

My thoughts exactly, no end of excited posts stating how f****d the skates are, but as I write, they have managed to maintain a decent standard premier league team and are just "drip feeding" expenditure only as and when it is really needed. I'll start getting excited when things actually HAPPEN and not when possible scenarios are hypothised on here.

As a pompey martyr points out in that article: "On the scale of things one would have thought the rental on a website would cost peanuts when compared to other things that money has to be spent on. I'm really surprised Portsmouth's financial problems are affecting items of this nature."

Apart from the lack of money I don't think anybody is really in charge, nobody can authorise anything and more importantly don't know who to refer such issues to. Does anyone really know who the beneficial owner is, or do I have to be more specific? Who owns the ground, who owns the surrounding ransom strips, who owns the stands, who owns the tenuous concept of PFC, who owns the portaloos at the Milton end.....

Its rumoured that Arry wants Pompeys keeper before the window shuts - and NO its not James. If he leaves that leaved Popmey with Annti Niemi and some kid as keepers. If Niemi are in goal against Saints - how will the crowd react to that ?
He bottles it in derbys, so ******* ecstatic
