Will P*mpey last till the derby?

No idea how much they're owed in backdated fees, but I'd be very surprised if they weren't paying upwards of £20-25k a month for the hosting, development and maintenance of the site.

How much for A Radio station and World Class Catering? ...... oh they don't have stuff like that to offload do they :p

Does that mean their website address is back on the open market? It would be terrible if it was sold on...

No, it doesn't:

Will the skates be around when they are due to play us? The winding-up petition is due a few days before and I notice that 2 other creditors have attached themselves to the winding-up petition.

This could well be the start of the end for the blue few, even their website has been taken offline due to non-payment. ( That's going to make their ticket selling mighty awkward )

Would you prefer them go bust before and we get a bye, get beat by us then go bust the next day or find a buyer and get beat by us?

Other Clubs facing similar charges have been given more time, which is exactly what I expect to happen to Portsmouth

I don't understand this at all. has the website being down got anything to do with non-payment?

Who are the other creditors attached to the winding up order?

and how does this add up with them having the embargo lifted ?????

Are the next wages due tomorrow? Surely if these are not met the FA will have a lot to answer for , the embargo should still be in place.

surprised they have not sold more players so far.

The LAST thing that the Prem want is for one of "theirs" to go to the wall, so they, and others will do everything to keep them functioning until the end of the season

What DOES annoy me is seeing one of their Sheikhs watching their matches

There is no such thing as a Sheikh WITHOUT money, They will only act when they have taken over the "New" Portsmouth, after Admin, and with NO debt

Sound familiar ???

They are right in the ****. Friend(?) of my son's has been attending weekly training with P*mpey's youth setup at a sports centre in Bournemouth. His parents have been told that this is now being stopped because of the money problems.

Similar to this...

Can't afford a £2k bill. Think of the poor children of Guernsey!

I disagree... the Premier League lifting their transfer embargo has been the catalyst and the last straw for many creditors, seeing P*mpey signing players whilst oweing them money.

So the Premier League have inadvertantly pushed Pompey much, much closer to extinction.

Oh, and for what it's worth as well... the Premier League might be quite a large organisation, but they are powerless to stop a winding up order and the 3 creditors ( which I am sure will be more ) closing them down.

Far too short notice for that. Game is 3 days after court hearing.

Anyway...teams are only reinstated for things like fielding an illegible player. Pompey beat against Sunderland fair and square.

No chance. If that were the case, Coventry would have a case too.

Wages won't be paid tomorrow. Players can hand in their 14 day notice and rip up their contracts and become free agents if they want I think.

The FM guys are gonna have to keep a close eye on Pompey's playing squad in the next few weeks then ;)

There is going to be an exodus (if it hasn't already started) of pompey's first team. The embargo was only lifted so Pompey could have enough players to field a team for the remainder of the season it would feel.

IMO the PL are going to do all they can to keep Pompey on a life support machine until the end of the season until their relegated, then hand the problem over.

That's when the fun will gather a lot of pace IMO

Strange why Spurs want to buy Kaboul when they could have him for free in two weeks.

Dead right. Why would a club shell out £x million on a player when they could simply wait a while and pick them up for a signing on fee?

Why would a player agree to a transfer when he could wait and make more money through a signing on fee?

I suspect if the players take any action to walk out if the wages are late, it will be "en-mass" - no one would want to be the first to walk away (or give notice), but several of them could do it together.

I'm thoroughly enjoying watching their downfall, but it will be devastating when they do shut up shop. You simply don't get a better feeling than beating Pompey, and we won't ever get that feeling again :(

Don't worry, there'll be the mass exodus after 14 days because payments have not been made to the staff, and then against us they'll have to field a youth team. We'll stick 7 past them and the next day they'll fold. Hooray.

'arry is probably trying to give them a helping hand so that he gets the money he's owed.

In addition to Kaboul, looks like Spurs are trying to land Begovic as their #2 behind Gomes. Perhaps paving the way O'Hara to go back there until the end of the season as speculated...

Should James go to Stoke, who will turn out in goal against us? Dindane!?

Niemi is still on their books........

They will get taken over and bailed out...the devil looks after his own as the saying goes.

Happened with Mandaric and they got lucky with the collapse of ITV Digital.

I think they will get out of this and be stronger for it.

'm not so sure. It's hard to see anyone willing to step in and pay up right now because a) there is such a mess trying sort out who actually owns what within the club and what the real finances are, not to mention the various dubious goings on that no half clean business would want to get involved in and b)the club will be so much cheaper after they enter admin.

So then, it seems their saviour would be likely to arrive after admin. The problem then is that a nine point deduction would virtually seal their fate and relegate them. The financial fall out then would be massive.

Don't forget that they can only sign loan players or freebies. To get this permission they had to show previous debts had been paid, I don't think the EPL had any juridisdiction to check the club could pay any future wages and I see no guarantee that they can!

You could be miles away or you could be close to the truth.

Managers get a % of sell on profits. Not that there is much of that at pompey at present, but Kaboul?????

I wonder what they paid and whether him buying him at an inflated price would be to his benefit/

That's the going rate for a corporate website these days, particularly one with a large amount of rich media content like video interviews, reports etc.

Steve, what would be the cost if they replaced the videos with hand-drawn pictures of the action as drawn by members of the crowd? Might be a nice little cost-saving measure there. They could also probably ask for part of the fee for reproducing the fixture list to be returned: there's no point in paying to show fixtures past February.

A FEW FACTS FOR THOSE WHO REALLY GIVE A SH!T:

.

1. The FA recently withheld their TV money, I suspect along with FA Cup prize money. This was then applied by the FA to English football creditors. Once paid, the club pressed ahead with legal action to get their incoming transfer embargo lifted. The embargo was lifted very quickly because all English football creditors were paid and therefore there was no lawful reason to keep the embargo in place.

.

2. PFC will now work like mad to get in as many frees and loans as possible before they go into admin (see below). Players will be attracted by the idea of putting themselves in the shop window despite the very real prospect that they will not get fully paid. Quincy being a prime example.

.

3. PFC will go into admin days or even hours before the winding up petition is due to be heard in court (which so happens to be before our game).

.

4. PFC will have an uphill struggle to find anyone stupid enough to buy the club from administration unless 75% of the creditors in value (of whcih I assume HMRC, Gaydamak and Sol Campbell will be among the largest) will do a fantastic deal and agree to take a very low offer. Bear in mind the alternative will be wind the club up and take next to nothing if anything (I assume the ground is heavily charged to the bank and other fixed creditors). This is why the Arabs have not yet invested money - why pay all the debts when you could end up needing just to pay a small percentage of them??

.

5. Pompey are playing for time. They are hoping to string a few wins together which will give the Arabs enough confidence to invest before admin. Fat chance.

.

6. Pompey will IMO be relegated this year and will be in administration. I think they will only be saved from extinction if they can reach a very good deal with creditors.

.

7. IMO Pompey will beat us, with the players they currently have and the loan signings. I fecking hope I'm wrong about this.

I hope this is the end.

I don't want them bleeding. I don't want them wounded. I want them dead.

I feel bad about saying this about any football club. But for the skates I make an exception.

Exactly... I am loving the suffering, there's something sadisticly satisying about watching someone/something you really hate taking their last breaths.

It's like when Saddam Hussein died... I couldn't help watching the youtube video again and again.
