Lord Duckhunter Posted 27 January, 2010 Share Posted 27 January, 2010 Thats what I meant. He was questioning whether he'd need a linked ticket, because he thinks he's already on the database. If he waits for an unlinked ticket, he might struggle to get one. No it wasn't what I meant. I've already got tickets for all available games before they were linked to the Pompey game. The Walsall game is linked to Pompey, but I got my ticket before it was linked. Surely it cant be right that by buying my ticket regardless of whther it's linked, I miss out on the first allocation. There must be others who have Walsall tickets already, I cant be the only one. Tractor_Saint Posted 27 January, 2010 Share Posted 27 January, 2010 Can Season Ticket holders change their seat for the game at sit in another area of the ground? That should be possible. You get first shout at booking your own ST seats but, equally, you can book different seats as long as you keep to 'one ST = one ticket' and the seats you fancy aren't already a ST holders... NickG Posted 27 January, 2010 Share Posted 27 January, 2010 If anyone has bought a ticket over the phone in the last 9 years, you will be on the database, if in 9 years you have not been to a single 'restricted sales' game and you cannot commit to buying a ticket for ANY of the clubs remaining home fixtures, then quite frankly, you don't deserve one. And for anyone who might not be on the database... buy a ticket for the Stockport game. Simples. Anyone who wants a ticket can have one. clear and fair

Although I will be making sure by getting a walsall one! Take the nipper I think. If it goes to unlinked general sale there is more than enough people on the database to sell the game out. I understood there are over 200k people on the database. I remember the queue round st marys when we played Wolves in QF it was horrendus it could be the same for this one. We have 12.5k STH I think. 4.5k skates plus segregation which leaves maybe 14k. Walsall would not normallly attract 26K but based on this linked system I reckon we could be looking at 24k for this one meaning 2k to go on unlinked sale if my calculations are correct? CWD Posted 27 January, 2010 Share Posted 27 January, 2010 Hey guys, quick question about the one ticket per customer thing. Would it be possible for me to order two tickets, provided I had to hand the database numbers of both supporters? or do we have to ring up separately? Um Bongo Posted 27 January, 2010 Share Posted 27 January, 2010 Brilliant. Right on the end of Block 41. And RE the price - Both clubs had to agree the price. JRM Posted 27 January, 2010 Share Posted 27 January, 2010 Had a quick look on the pompey site out of interest to see how they were selling their tickets and what loyalty scheme etc, no details as yet but a couple of interesting points: - £28 tickets is actually quite CHEAP for them when you consider the price of premiership football nowdays, some forthcoming games its £42 at Man Utd, £37 at Spurs and even £32 at Burnley. - Also, anyone concerned about our fixture pile up, the skates actually have more games in the next two weeks than us, playing Man City away 31.01, Fulham away 03.02, Man Utd away 06.02, Sunderland home 09.02, fingers crossed those 4 games will give them zero points, a few injuries and a couple of suspensions. Doesn't seem that way to me at all? If you are a saints fan chances are you would have bought a ticket before and therefore be on the database. you would also be prepared to go to another home at some point this season. therefore you can buy a ticket as soon as they go on sale to non-season ticket holders. Leicestersaint Posted 27 January, 2010 Share Posted 27 January, 2010 why? Its just opened it to people who go to watch saints? If someone doesn't why should they get any sort of priority? Well with respect some of us have been supporting saints for over 50 years and have literally paid to see thousands of matches. Some of us have been at all the Wembley finals and even the Nots Councty match in the 1980s when we came runners up. I go to quite a lot of away games each season - I was even at the northampton Cup match - but i buy the tickets from the ground or from midlands saints - whether i am on the club's database who knows? Hopefully i can get tickets through the Midlands saints. If there was a membership scheme I would be a member and not have these problems. I suspect i may be forced to watch it on ITV instead of being able to be there.

StuRomseySaint Posted 27 January, 2010 Share Posted 27 January, 2010 Let's get something straight, I will put it on both ticket threads, I defy anyone to try and think up a reason why they feel they are being hard done by. The database has been in place for 9 years ( NINE YEARS ) , during these 9 years we have had numerous 'database only' sales, such as Man Utd games, and other games where the allocation has sold out quickly. I would estimate there have been at least 20 games in that 9 year period which were DATABASE ONLY ( this means you have to be on the database to get a ticket ) , also, whenever you book online of over the phone, you have to be on the database if it is yourself booking the tickets. Now as I said, there have been at least 20 'database only' games in the last 9 years, it's not a new thing so there is NO EXCUSE for not being on the database, regardless of whom may get your tickets for you. Let's add to this, the club are very generously allowing you to purchase a ticket for ONE extra game this season, and letting you choose!!! If any of you are whinging about having to purchase just one more ticket between now and the end of the season, you don't f*cking well deserve a ticket!!! Season Ticket Holders... if you are moaning about not being able to sit next to your non-season ticket holding mate... wait till they hit general sale and get a ticket with him! It won't sell out on the first day! Lastly, the cost... £28... get a grip people, it's not expensive, it's cheaper than a Premier League game, it's the SOUTH COAST DERBY for f*cks sake. The most ironic thing is if the board had not been so sensible and reduced prices this season then none of you lot would be moaning because the mark-up wouldnt be as much. Ticket Priority = FAIR Price = FAIR I am open to someone trying to tell me wrong? In summary... if you are not on the database then you don't deserve a ticket, so think yourself lucky if you get one. If you are not on the database, then buy a ticket for Saturdays game and you will be! There is no excuse for anyone not being able to get a ticket.
