hypochondriac Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Pretty good I think. Half season ticket for me! http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1946364,00.html
Jack the Saint Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Not happy about that, my old man always gets my tickets on his season ticket when I go to games so I won't be on the database, ****ing great.
hypochondriac Posted 27 January, 2010 Author Posted 27 January, 2010 Not happy about that, my old man always gets my tickets on his season ticket when I go to games so I won't be on the database, ****ing great. I always go to games but did not register with my number either. It's my fault not the clubs. I should have been more organised.
Jack the Saint Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 I always go to games but did not register with my number either. It's my fault not the clubs. I should have been more organised. A valid point but still ****ing annoying, no? Half season ticket it is then.
StD Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Happy with that personally. The club should also shift a few extra tickets for future games. That phoneline is going to be carnage once linked general sale commences. The requirement to be on the database was probably stipulated by the police to be fair...
Liquidshokk Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Are they saying season ticket holders and the linked ticket buyers can only buy 1 ticket each?? what if you want to go with someone else?! or is it a season ticket holders seat + one other each?
sandwichsaint Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Excellent, at the 'club's discretion' I'd like to nominate my 'linked purchase' to: Swindon, Leeds, Colchester, Millwall, Brentford, and Charlton all away, and Gillingham, Exeter, Wycombe, Brighton and MK home. Is this what they mean? (I'm sure it's not so I've go to buy a ticket for a game I can't go to!) Hopefully I will be able to link it to an upcoming midweek (eg Swindon or H'pool). Why do they always **** about .... what's so hard about saying 'ST's 1 each, then 1 each for anybody with 5 games against their number?'
StuRomseySaint Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Not happy about that, my old man always gets my tickets on his season ticket when I go to games so I won't be on the database, ****ing great. Buy a ticket for the Stockport game then you will be on the database for the general sale. Plonker.

Erm, because it's alot easier to say "if you want to buy a Pompey ticket then buy one for one of the other remaining home games this season" , than it is to pull of miles of reports checking peoples purchase history. It also makes much more business sense.
Johnny Shearer Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 If you've had a season ticket before you should still on the database. Could just be a case of reactivating it (as thats what I did a few weeks ago). Could be the same for those that had memberships?
St.Patrik Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Wonder how on earth I will get tickets now - was planning to go to the Hartlepool game but - well things has changed : /
Bartosz Bialkowski Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Are they saying season ticket holders and the linked ticket buyers can only buy 1 ticket each?? what if you want to go with someone else?! or is it a season ticket holders seat + one other each? Its basically one customer number per seat. You can phone on behalf of somebody else but you need their customer number.
StuRomseySaint Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 If anyone has bought a ticket over the phone in the last 9 years, you will be on the database, if in 9 years you have not been to a single 'restricted sales' game and you cannot commit to buying a ticket for ANY of the clubs remaining home fixtures, then quite frankly, you don't deserve one. And for anyone who might not be on the database... buy a ticket for the Stockport game. Simples. Anyone who wants a ticket can have one.
Red Alert Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Its basically one customer number per seat. You can phone on behalf of somebody else but you need their customer number. Sucks, I always go with someone else but I always buy the tickets, so they don't have a customer number. Maybe I can get lucky when it goes on general sale??
bungle Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Simples. Anyone who wants a ticket can have one. Obviously after us uber-fans have bought ours.
saints_is_the_south Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 And for anyone who might not be on the database... buy a ticket for the Stockport game. Exactly what I was about to say! Stop moaning & get a Stockport ticket, you'll then be more likely to get a Pompey ticket. Simples.
diggers Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Buy a ticket for the Stockport game then you will be on the database for the general sale. Plonker. Umm, wonder if any mad/brave skates might be tempted??
Toadhall Saint Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Umm, wonder if any mad/brave skates might be tempted?? hope so put a few in block 4.
StD Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Umm, wonder if any mad/brave skates might be tempted?? You would have to in effect buy tickets for three games - Stockport, P*mpey + one other game linked... not sure any skates have that much stashed in the secret compartment (microwave) of their caravan.
StuRomseySaint Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Umm, wonder if any mad/brave skates might be tempted?? Not many I doubt, it means they are going to pay about £70 for a ticket, effectively buying for 3 Saints games to get one ticket. And to be honest, I would not be suprised if they didnt sell their allocation, hardly any of their lot are looking forward to this game, that coupled with the familys which will stay away... any of their lot who want a ticket will get one.
saints_is_the_south Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 All of block 41 open to Saints fans.
StuRomseySaint Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Any word on blocks 1-3? All areas of ground including 1-3 are open.
Colinjb Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Taking everything into account, that's probably as fair as it could have been
saint1977 Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Taking everything into account, that's probably as fair as it could have been Totally agree, well done Luker et al. Could not have thought of a fairer alternative and makes the club money as well.
Chez Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 £28 quid, what the ****? Feels like the Manure game last year when the club took the ****. Not impressed by that at all.

And to be honest, I would not be suprised if they didnt sell their allocation, hardly any of their lot are looking forward to this game, that coupled with the familys which will stay away... any of their lot who want a ticket will get one. you are kidding yourself. They will sell out.
StuRomseySaint Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 £28 quid, what the ****? Feels like the Manure game last year when the club took the ****. Not impressed by that at all. LMAO It's a couple of quid you pikey and it's the SOUTH COAST DERBY...worth every f*cking penny.
Block 5 Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Seems very sensible to me. Well done David Luker.
StuRomseySaint Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 you are kidding yourself. They will sell out. We will see... they might sell out... but they won't be snapped up within hours... anyone who needs one will get one. They certainly wont be buying tickets for 3 Saints games just to watch the derby. Another thing... why would they want to sit in the home end anyway? The thought of sitting in the Pompey end if we played there makes me feel sick!
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Seems sensible to me, although the price is a little more than I'd have liked. Now just have to decide where I want to sit, as my season ticket is in block 42. I assume I will be able to pick any seat that isn't a season ticket seat?
Chez Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 LMAO It's a couple of quid you pikey and it's the SOUTH COAST DERBY...worth every f*cking penny. if you're offering, I'll have two.
StuRomseySaint Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 if you're offering, I'll have two. Certainly. That'll be £56 please.
saint_stevo Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 whats linked and unlinked general sale mean?
Colinjb Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 whats linked and unlinked general sale mean? Linked = you must buy tickets for another game at the same time. Unlinked = It's just for the derby.
Matthew Le God Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 whats linked and unlinked general sale mean? Linked means you can only buy a Pompey ticket if you buy a Walsall ticket and are on database. Unlinked means you just buy the Pompey ticket if you are on the database (Unlikely it will get to this point).
Block 5 Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 whats linked and unlinked general sale mean? Linked means you have to buy a ticket to another home game. Unlinked means you can wave goodbye to any chance of getting a poopey ticket.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 I maybe really stupid here, but I'm confussed. I've already brought tickets for all the games available on the internet sales, I presume I dont have to buy another ticket for the Walsall game. Am I already linked?
Evil Monkey Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 I maybe really stupid here, but I'm confussed. Thats the last stage of general sale though. We might sell out before that.
Matthew Le God Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 Thats the last stage of general sale though. We might sell out before that. It isn't the last stage. The last stage is unlinked. Although I doubt it will get to that.
Bad Wolf Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 WTF =/ I'm very annoyed. I had a season ticket till last season. Does this mean I'm on the database?
Colinjb Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 WTF =/ I'm very annoyed. I had a season ticket till last season. Does this mean I'm on the database? You should be mate, before this season the last activity I had was member in 05/06 and Season ticket holder in 04/05. I had a purchase history for many games in the mean time though. I was on the database.
StuRomseySaint Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 WTF =/ I'm very annoyed. I had a season ticket till last season. Does this mean I'm on the database? Yes you gimp.
Evil Monkey Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 It isn't the last stage. The last stage is unlinked. Although I doubt it will get to that. Thats what I meant. He was questioning whether he'd need a linked ticket, because he thinks he's already on the database. If he waits for an unlinked ticket, he might struggle to get one.
Dr Who? Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 I can confirm that I used to be a season ticket holder, but I still have a customer numnber and I am still on the Southampton FC database. I will not be going to this game though!
UlsterSaint1 Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 IF i buy 2 tickets to the Walsall game or any future games will i get two tickets for the cup game?
Tractor_Saint Posted 27 January, 2010 Posted 27 January, 2010 I will not be going to this game though! Sit back and await those PMs offering :smt054
