(One for the anoraks by the way)

After saving yet another penalty against Brentford, it got me wondering... how many penalty saves has Davis made for Saints and what is his miss/save ratio when it comes to penalties?

my rough counts says FOUR saves

v. Millwall (h)

v. Huddf'd (a)

v. Norwich (h)

and Brentford (a)

He conceded one v. Exeter JPS

might be others I 'm not aware of though:confused:

He saved 2 last season from memory, both against Bristol City.

He also saved one against coventry, and one against charlton. Im also sure there was more.

So where are all the muppets who were calling for his head two years ago?

Theyre still around, they just lie low a bit when they've got nothing to complain about

I'm still here and still believe that although he's a good shot stopper, his inability to come for crosses and general lack of dominance beyond the six yard box destabilises the whole defence and leads to untold problems. And I stick by that. I'd love us to get a new keeper. Sorry to disappoint.

He has come to be a bit of a success when saving penalties, although sometimes he parries them straight back to the kicker... (Carter - Preston 5-1, Rhodes - Huddersfield, Hoolahan - Norwich)
