VectisSaint Posted 3 August, 2008 Posted 3 August, 2008 Looks like WGS is sniffing round for Dyer, personally prefer that we keep him, I think he may finally come good this season in a team with pace and passing, if only he can come up with the finished product (and learn to keep his hands out of handbags)
buctootim Posted 3 August, 2008 Posted 3 August, 2008 Ambivalent about Dyer. I personally think he too lightweight but know others rate him. I would let him go for a c£1.5m but not for peanuts.

SimonRichards Posted 3 August, 2008 Posted 3 August, 2008 If the price is right then sell him. Or maybe a part exchange!
Third Division South Days Posted 3 August, 2008 Posted 3 August, 2008 Even if he does go bound to get a far better price now hes signed a contract.

I would let him go for a c£1.5m but not for peanuts. Celtic have no money either, so don't think we would get £1.5 from them, perhaps we could do a swap deal for McGeady or Hesselink
redandwhitey Posted 3 August, 2008 Posted 3 August, 2008 but wasn't this in the news of the world. The paper that is renowned for accuracy, which is tipping us for relegation and finishing 23rd? If you read the analysis on the championship you will see that they have two teams in fifth place. to55ers. I am already looking forward to our youthfull team proving a few people wrong next season. COYR
Saint Charlie Posted 3 August, 2008 Posted 3 August, 2008 Come on, why would Celtic pay 500k for a player they could have got for free two weeks ago? Lazy journalism IMO
saint_ed Posted 3 August, 2008 Posted 3 August, 2008 This story is rubbish. If he was interested he would have made an approach when he was out of contract.
ART Posted 3 August, 2008 Posted 3 August, 2008 Thieving little **** Obviously Gordon has some attraction for ways and strays, as in his signing of Fabrice Ferdande, convicted serial ladies under garment shop lifter.
Badger Posted 3 August, 2008 Posted 3 August, 2008 Obviously Gordon has some attraction for ways and strays, as in his signing of Fabrice Ferdande, convicted serial ladies under garment shop lifter. Fact ? Or an opinion based on some of his performances ?
ART Posted 3 August, 2008 Posted 3 August, 2008 Fact ? Or an opinion based on some of his performances ? Fabrice left FRANCE to play overseas following a couple of court convictions. At the time of signing Gordon made some mention of his intentions of taking him under his wing and giving him a settled environment.
trousers Posted 3 August, 2008 Posted 3 August, 2008 Why has this thread got lots of gold stars on the index page?
the scud Posted 3 August, 2008 Posted 3 August, 2008 Celtic are not intrested in Nathan Dyer and have played down the reports, last paragraph http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/celtic/7539759.stm
Saint_clark Posted 3 August, 2008 Posted 3 August, 2008 They'll have to pay, so let him go. Yay, two posts left....
VectisSaint Posted 3 August, 2008 Author Posted 3 August, 2008 Why has this thread got lots of gold stars on the index page? I can only assume its because I started it
Secret Site Agent Posted 4 August, 2008 Posted 4 August, 2008 This story is rubbish. If he was interested he would have made an approach when he was out of contract. Yeh but when they are 'researching' their stories from the confort of their own mind, they have no idea of what has happened previously, therefore there is room for inacuracies. I personally think that the basis for this may be Dyer's agent who was hoping to bump up his price by leaking it to the paper, but they kept it for a slow news day. Allegedly
once_bitterne Posted 4 August, 2008 Posted 4 August, 2008 Why has this thread got lots of gold stars on the index page? It did well at Nursery School......
Scudamore Posted 4 August, 2008 Posted 4 August, 2008 Let him go, always good to purge. You try telling that to my toilet after this morning...Old Thumper was a bad idea...
Fowllyd Posted 4 August, 2008 Posted 4 August, 2008 You try telling that to my toilet after this morning...Old Thumper was a bad idea... Bet it seemed like a very fine idea at the time though, eh...
Scudamore Posted 4 August, 2008 Posted 4 August, 2008 Bet it seemed like a very fine idea at the time though, eh... I didn't realise how strong it is till it was too late Mind you there is a fair clue in the name thinking about it!
