SaintRobbie Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 I'm sure most will remember the fishy inflatables that appeared during the last 2 to 3 derby games with Pompey. The guys at the Fartton Park mauling who had the row of inflatable skates arranged with one letter each on the belly to spell out 'U SKATE BASTARDS' was easily my favourite of recent times. Genius! Anyone got any pictures of fishy inflatables from the last games and suggestions where we may obtain some for this one!?
Crab Lungs Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 My friend brought one along with him to the 4-1 game but I think it got popped in transit to the ground by a stray, overhead missile Funny, funny times though!

fanimal Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 When we played Grimsby in the Cup replay, (at a so called neutral venue 77 miles for them, 122 for us!) and they all turned up with hundreds of blow up fish? and then their crew with berets all in our end afterwards?
Whitey Grandad Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 And these: http://www.thetrainingshop.co.uk/toy_add.asp?id=1321&category=new&page=1

Lets B Avenue Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 How about dressing Arab-like in honour of (Dr) Sultan Bin-Trump and Al-Mirage.
Matthew Le God Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 Get yer inflatable dolphin on a stick here: http://www.partyrama.co.uk/pp///Inflatable_Dolphin_On_Stick.html A dolphin isn't a fish, it is a mammal.
eelpie Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 A dolphin isn't a fish, it is a mammal. But aren't Poopey supporters part mammal and part skate?
Griffo Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Inflatable-toy-Nemo-clown-fish-22-job-lot-of-12_W0QQitemZ190324494781QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_WSJL_Wholesale_GL?hash=item2c503951bd Joblot of 12. That's a finding Nemo fish and really doesn't look much like a Skate.
Block 5 Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 A dolphin isn't a fish, it is a mammal. Pedant! Fish-specific inflatables are hard to come across. Fnar fnar.
Liquidshokk Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 Stick this in the middle of the northam stand :-) http://www.inflatableeverything.co.uk/Giant-Inflatable-Fish-No-Text.html?productid=37813?utm_source=GP&utm_medium=GP&utm_campaign=GP
Matthew Le God Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 Pedant! Fish-specific inflatables are hard to come across. Fnar fnar. Well it is a bit like playing Norwich, wanting to bring a bird and coming with an inflatable fruit bat(also a mammal).
Block 5 Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 Well it is a bit like playing Norwich, wanting to bring a bird and coming with an inflatable fruit bat(also a mammal). Point taken. I shall endeavor to ensure that all future references to inflatables adhere to the correct animal classification.

humber Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 came close to a KICKING for my sons blow up skate at farton last visit. my 9 year old son held onto his "fish" when a 40+ fish ****er tried to take it, then the tosser turned on me he soon walked away when his 4 mates hung back. so the blow up skate will be going to SMS.

Sour Mash Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 Utterly pointless, why the f**k do we need inflatables at a game like this?
Spudders Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 Utterly pointless, why the f**k do we need inflatables at a game like this? I know I've posted a pic of one above, but have to say I agree with this! We should be trying to create a hostile atmosphere, not facepaint & inflatable kind of atmosphere. Maybe we should be buying those hand held distress flares like they do in Europe!
exit2 Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 yep LOL I had a video of him as we were stood directly under it. Funny as even the coppers were laughing!
JRM Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 Maybe we should be buying those hand held distress flares like they do in Europe! that would get a big thumbs up from me. remember a saints lad from bournemouth way setting one off in the ground in Athens 2002 Greece v England, needs a lively atmosphere for it to work.
Spudders Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 LOL I had a video of him as we were stood directly under it. Funny as even the coppers were laughing! Have you uploaded it anywhere? I'd love to see that
hamster Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 These are only £70 for 200, that's 35p each. hand them out outside praps: Have to order soonish to get them from Bradford though and check that they will do 200 all the same as the ad says 'mixed'.: http://www.halesown.com/inflatables.htm
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 Here is a picture of a fish head sneaking into the photo, taken the last time we played at their 'plaice' I love that photo!!
Lance Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 Inflatable fish??? What the ****??? Do we want the award as the most cringeworthy supporters or what?????
Andy_Porter Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 Please don't bring blow up fish. We don't need any of that crap to create an atmosphere.
Arizona Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 I'm sure flares are banned at British football stadiums. Shame, really they look good. The trouble comes when this happens. A Man Utd fan chucked a flare on the pitch during an FA Cup match at SMS in 2005.
Andy_Porter Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 United had a flare at the ground for their semi with City last week. Looked pretty awesome.
Gorgiesaint Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 There are no Grimsby flat fish inflatables anywhere Grimsby's inflatables were 'Harry the Haddocks' rather than flat fish!!
S4INT Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 Isnt that the street where that old bloke started shouting abuse from his window? If that was the occasion of the "is that Teddy Sheringham?" quote then that has been immortalised in my mind ...
Evil Monkey Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 What a brilliant idea!!! I'll be picking some up for my mates and I. Should make it a cracking day.
Spudders Posted 25 January, 2010 Posted 25 January, 2010 I'm sure flares are banned at British football stadiums. Shame, really they look good. Yeah that's what I thought, agree they look awsome though. I was looking at them online the other day, you can get the red ones for £12, that last 30 seconds. I just don't want to get banned from St Mary's!
