I'm sure most will remember the fishy inflatables that appeared during the last 2 to 3 derby games with Pompey.

The guys at the Fartton Park mauling who had the row of inflatable skates arranged with one letter each on the belly to spell out 'U SKATE BASTARDS' was easily my favourite of recent times. Genius!

Anyone got any pictures of fishy inflatables from the last games and suggestions where we may obtain some for this one!?

My friend brought one along with him to the 4-1 game but I think it got popped in transit to the ground by a stray, overhead missile :(

Funny, funny times though!

When we played Grimsby in the Cup replay, (at a so called neutral venue 77 miles for them, 122 for us!) and they all turned up with hundreds of blow up fish?

and then their crew with berets all in our end afterwards?

Well it is a bit like playing Norwich, wanting to bring a bird and coming with an inflatable fruit bat(also a mammal). :p :D

Point taken.

I shall endeavor to ensure that all future references to inflatables adhere to the correct animal classification.

:D

Here is a picture of a fish head sneaking into the photo, taken the last time we played at their 'plaice'

Isnt that the street where that old bloke started shouting abuse from his window?

came close to a KICKING for my sons blow up skate at farton last visit. my 9 year old son held onto his "fish" when a 40+ fish ****er tried to take it, then the tosser turned on me he soon walked away when his 4 mates hung back. so the blow up skate will be going to SMS.

Utterly pointless, why the f**k do we need inflatables at a game like this?

I know I've posted a pic of one above, but have to say I agree with this! We should be trying to create a hostile atmosphere, not facepaint & inflatable kind of atmosphere.

Maybe we should be buying those hand held distress flares like they do in Europe!

that would get a big thumbs up from me.

remember a saints lad from bournemouth way setting one off in the ground in Athens 2002 Greece v England, needs a lively atmosphere for it to work.

LOL I had a video of him as we were stood directly under it. Funny as even the coppers were laughing!

Have you uploaded it anywhere? I'd love to see that

I'm sure flares are banned at British football stadiums. Shame, really they look good.

The trouble comes when this happens.

A Man Utd fan chucked a flare on the pitch during an FA Cup match at SMS in 2005.

If that was the occasion of the "is that Teddy Sheringham?" quote then that has been immortalised in my mind :D...

Yeah that's what I thought, agree they look awsome though.

I was looking at them online the other day, you can get the red ones for £12, that last 30 seconds. I just don't want to get banned from St Mary's!
