Please do not underestimate what a game against Pompey means to us !

The rivalry runs deep and long and only when the day comes and 32,000 people swell the ground will it fully become apparent. The squad MUST know what this game will do the the average fan, the passion, the pride of being a saints fan will emanate from all sides, we will urge you on with every cheer.

Win this game for us, better still, win this game for yourselves … you are the Saints fans on the pitch !! COYR

could wipe out so much of the 5 years of saints pain by beating these...it really would

Isn't it great that we are all united in the effort against a common enemy :D

lets see them gob off with this lot coming....

Indeed. Forget Millwall, Leeds etc. if there is one game from a Saints point of view where you are likely to get your head kicked in, it's this one.

I hope security see sense and lock the away fans in rather than doing that stupid f*cking "no access to the north car park" thing.

Playing Lallana, Mills and James is a must. They get this big time.

Is this a good or a bad thing though?

Could make them more nervous, might lose their heads.

People like Wotton and Harding who aren't Saints born and bred but give 100% every time are probably more useful.

Most of the "Yoof" were still half fare on the bus last time we played them, gobbing off at a few Southend fans is one thing ...

indeed....lets say we get a draw and go back to fratton...replays are usually midweek games...

ffs, that would be awful...I wonder what the "yoof" would do down goldsmith ave...

not a nice place

This game will bring everyone out, it has the potential to be chaos, especially as the skates are still smarting from getting a hiding before the fizzy pop game at SMS.

Lol. Last year Lallana said he would be off to Skatesmouth straight away if they offered him a half decent wage.

Please can you make our ticket prices a quid and charge the skates £50 each Mr Cortese? That would make me lol.

Nah, why do you think Rafa always picks Carra and Gerard for the derby?

Lol, they do have a good record against the other side of Stanley Park though...mind you plenty of cards if memory serves!!

True, although Gerrard is a special case, he delivers when it matters.

As it happens, Lallana and James will probably play on merit, not the fact that they came through the youth system.

Not sure about Mills, has done well the last couple of games but I rate Harding.

I can see us employing a 5 man midfield of James, Hammond, Schneiderlin, Wotton and Lallana behind Rickie.

Whats with all this bigging up Pompeys mob? They are not some super hard firm, they are more or less the same as us, if anything Saints have been more active in recent years

I wouldn't argue. I think we play better 4-5-1 full stop, with Antonio or Papa causing havoc from the bench...

I think Mills could turn out to be a very good left back. I thought he was excellent on Saturday when he settled but I agree Harding is current first choice - mind you we will need to rotate players that week.

Yeah, Mills vs MK, Harding vs P*mpey.

Agree about Antonio and Papa, can come either way, if we're winning and need a pacy outlet one of them is useful, if we're losing and chasing the game then chuck both on and get in behind them.

Don't believe that for a minute - where did he say that?

In the bogs at Oceana. He was talking about Cranie at the time and said if he was given a half decent wage he would go there.
