Iowsaintsfan Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 Pompey to go out of business and we get a bye in the cup, or we play them and they survive as a club?
Saint_clark Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 BEAT them and survive. I don't really want them to go out of existence - how do you feel right now? Do you want to NEVER feel that again?
alpine_saint Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 Pompey to go out of business and we get a bye in the cup, or we play them and they survive as a club? Couldnt give a flying f**k if they go out of business, so the former.
LVSaint Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 We humiliate them at home and the next day they fold. No. We beat them, they survive and we meet them next year and beat them again twice.
Arizona Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 I want all their players to go on strike because they haven't been paid again. Then we beat their under 15s, 24-0.
Northant Saint Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 come on, everyone would miss the rivalry, thats what football is about.
kpturner Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 Why would anyone want a football club like Portsmouth to go out of business completely? That sort of thinking is for neanderthals. Most Saints fans have mates and colleagues that support Pompey. Why would you want to heap permanent misery on them? Bragging rights over a game of football is one thing - but have them disappear completely would leave us a tad empty would it not? You only have to see the protests before the Sunderland game to get a sobering reminder of our own recent predicament - so gloating is a bit churlish methinks - IMHO of course!
John B Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 I want all their players to go on strike because they haven't been paid again. Then we beat their under 15s, 24-0. Surely more than 24;)
Saint Fan CaM Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 Point is, they need to go into administration to survive I would think. So it's gotta be the former. Sure seeing us beat them would be very sweet indeed, however you cannot deny that the pain they would feel at going into admin AND handing us a bye into the next round! It really is a win-win-win-win-win....well an all-round win situation for us...even if we f-ing lose!!!
ulstersaint Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 come on, everyone would miss the rivalry, thats what football is about. What he said.
alpine_saint Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 come on, everyone would miss the rivalry, thats what football is about. Like they thought that when we on the brink of extinction. What goes around comes around.
kpturner Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 Like they thought that when we on the brink of extinction. What goes around comes around.Surely, as a Saints fan, you are able to rise above such tit-for-tat ?
Griffo Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 I couldn't care less if they wanted us to go out of existence, and anyway I'm sure that was a few nobbers, and most of them wanted us to stay as a club so they could play us again. This is what being a Saints fan is about. Pompey at home - quality.
astrasri Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 Go out existence? No way, as a supporter how did we feel last summer faced with the possibility of having no club? Go into admin yes! have a 36 point penalty -yes. Rebuild from the BSP yes (Maidstone, Wimbledon and Accrington have all done it)-this way the club is still there for the faithfull to follow. I'd love to see Mr Westwood @ Ebbsfleet ( please can we get back to the real name soon) banging his drum, or whatever he does.
aintforever Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 Why do people bang on about this "cease to exist" ******, it has never happened to a club their size and is never going to happen. At the very very very worst they will end up a non league AFC Portsmouth, even the tree hugging softies on here must find that amusing?
Wade Garrett Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 Ironically, this was probably the draw that Storrie and co were praying for. Certain to be a sell-out, certain to get TV money, and facing the team with the lowest league position left in the competition. I think he would w@nk himself stupid if there was a replay as well.
saint-luco Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 up untill now i was praying that they would fold completely but that feeling when there were 2 balls left in the drum and mrs moore had her hand on the no1 ball was totally priceless. if they go belly up i will never get that feeling again. so let them survive but with a couple of relegations.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 JPT Final JPT Winners Beat Skates Reach Playoffs Win Playoffs Enghland win World Cup All of the above could happen
Toomer Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 I want to beat them and not go bust but suffer and end up below us that way the correct balance is restored.
oxfordshire_saint Posted 24 January, 2010 Posted 24 January, 2010 JPT Final JPT Winners Beat Skates Reach Playoffs Win Playoffs Enghland win World Cup All of the above could happen You forgot the FA Cup too Even making it to the semis at Wembley would be awesome, we might be bored of that place by the end of May!
