I can't wait! Cortese will be licking his lips as you can bet the gates shoot up for the next few games before as the scramble for tickets gets underway, plus it will be on TV. Pards will find out what a real derby game is like. Players won't need reminding how vital a game it is. We need Hammond fit though, yesterday's midfield would struggle.

Some chants/taunts for them:

Waving £20 notes at them

Skates are going down with no money in the bank

Town full of Pikeys/Wheels on your house go round and round

Does the Social know you're here?

Going Down, Going Down

Let's all have a whipround

And we've still got money in the bank

There's only one Sol Campbell

dont envy Pardew job, theres the little matter of the JPT area final 4 days before

We have another team for that game, thanks to the rules on cup tied players.

A game we can't lose, we are old money 3rd division they are 1st, we can relax and enjoy the game.

Didn't want it in reality, but now its here.................. Yahoooooooooo!

****ing get in, that's the draw i wanted since we have nothing to lose. We're the underdogs, they're prem. Be interesting to see how the game affects the younger lads in the sides, none of ours will have played in one before so won't know what it's like.

Brilliant! :)

We'll win, out-sing them and make them suffer every minute of the 90 mins of humiliation. The crowing glory of their season will be a Saints win and relegation and administration!

Just heard le tiss on Talk Sport , says there in other game like it , the atmosphere is nothing like he has ever experienced before , says it brings out an extra 10% in the bigger player , lets hope so , all those foreigners they have they wont rise , we have a back bone of british red blooded guys who will be right up for it . Bring It On

Can't see how we can lose really...

If they beat us, what do you expect? They're Premier League and we're just mid table League One..

We win? We could well put them out of business, it'd be a hammer blow that they could well never recover from....

I mean, seriously... Losing to their bitterest rivals, who are two leagues below them and them in dire financial straits...

They just cannot afford to lose this one...

What a sh*tty comment about not jumping on the bandwagon, this is what it's all about, some people just don't get it.

exactly - this is why football is the greatest sport in the world!

im still shaking. WHAT A DRAW:D:D:D

Plus, if they win, we can politely remind them of what happened to the last winners of the South Coast FA Cup derby. ;)

4 days after isn't it?

We can put out a full strength team against Portsmouth and assess the situation afterwards, anyone who has the fitness can play.

Seeemples :D

They are two leagues above us, for the moment, so on paper they should win...... but of course football is played on grass not paper.

The players will not take their eye off the ball for the league or JPT game. They are professionals, there are no local born players so they will not get as excited as we are. AP will make sure they take each game as it comes BUT you can be sure as soon as the MK Dons game has finished he will be making sure each and every one of those players knows how important a victory would be to us, the fans who have given them such great backing this season.

Leave it to AP :)

No it's 5 days before because we will play Skates on Sunday-count on it.

Can we please not sing pay up pompey though, it sounds to much like their lot on tv and i'd hate to have the rest of the country thinking how much noise they are making

Think you will find that Pompey have a say in the ticket pricing so expect them to be higher as they need the money.

It would be better if saints fans never bought any tickets.

Ticket prices must be mutually agreed between the two clubs 'immediately after the draw is known' subject to a minimum of £15.00 for fifth and sixth rounds. Seniors and children can be cheaper. Prize money for the winners is £180,000.

Just got this from my pompey fan mate on facebook:

Knew it was gonna happen! :-) typical it's at st.mary's though, will be surprised if we pull off a win x

THEYRE WORRIED

The more I think about it the more I dislike this draw. We've got no chance.

We may well lose, but I hope the players don't turn up to the match with that attitude. If we play fully up to our potential & the fish fiddlers have a bad day at the office, then there is know reason why we can't match & beat them in a one off game. I sincerely hope its the later & famous win transpires for Saints.

This shows just why we should be grateful to have a rival professional team in Hampshire. Wanting to win, every time we play them is absolutely right, but its hard to understand people who say they'd like to see Pompy go out of existence because we would lose the chance for games like this one. It will be a fantastic occasion, hopefully not spoilt by the violent minority who forget what football is about, and there's every reason to expect a Saints' win. The gap between League 1 and the Prem is much less than the media would have people believe, so home advantage and a winning habit should be enough.

Left my mobile at home today. Just got in and my niece sent me the message from England: "Nice draw!" I rushed to log on but I'd already guessed.. Hmm, wonder how much Flybe flights are that weekend.

Queueing up for the stairs at the ground yesterday when the results were being read out then "Pompey 2 Sunderland...1" boooo...a little downside to the day...then the old man turns to me and says Pompey at home next round then! And lo it was so.

Can't wait for this one!

I said that to someone, were you in Block 10? If so F*** off! I'm no old man! ;)

well said sir. In fact they're the team i would least like to see go out of business (well except us obviously)

Really did not want that, they will easily beat us. :(

like Manu beat leeds and Stoke beat Arsenal and reading beat Liverpool!

They will be Sh**ing themselves! We have nothing to lose and all to gain the underdogs with 80% of the support and a full stadium!

******* BRILL! Got back from 6 months in Bahrain yesterday but have a bloody holiday booked in the US so will be away for the next round, didn't expect Saints to be still in the Cup! Want to fly home but Mrs F won't be too pleased!

Oh b*llocks, just checked my ticket. I was looking at the original fixture list and forgot the match was brought forward a week. Does pose an interesting question though, which match takes priority? Ticket to Wembley or getting one over the skates?

A poll maybe?

Another facebook quote from a pompey mate:

i genuinely think you will win but whatever its all banter. and realistically tears as well.

By the time Feb 14th comes round I predict...

1) Their squad will be decimated after a fire sale.

or

2) The high court case on Feb 10th winds the club up and Saints get a bye.

You know what,**** it. My earlier reaction to the draw was due to the fact that on paper they're clearly a stronger squad than us and I did fear humiliation on our own patch. But its the FA Cup, and its a special competition. We've got nothing to lose but for a bit of pride, but as others have said we're the League One club and we're expected to lose so the pressures on them, who knows what kind of position they'll be in by then, but we can fully expect Pardew to make it very clear to the team just what this game means, and to send the players out there with no fear and some fire in their bellies. I was there that day we lost 4-1 at Nottarf, its a wound that still hasn't healed, the sound of 17,000 of them ****ers singing Amarillo, whilst all we could do was stand there and take it. I'd love to put that ghost to bed,if Leeds can go to Old Trafford and beat United then we've got nothing, NOTHING to be afraid of! Bring on the webbed feet, incestuous, inbred ****wits, I can't wait!!

Thats a tough one! Id prefer a win over the Skates (I think)

Both would be amazing

After all we've been through these last few seasons, why can't we have both?
