Hello EDL racist. I make no excuse for that comment; fight fire with fire with regards to the EDL. If violence is all they understand then violence is all they deserve. I'm not a violent man, I've never taken part in any UAF 'thuggery' (as you call it) in fact I'm an extremely passive member of UAF, all I've ever done is a bit of leafleting back when I was student many moons ago.

However, I won't feel guilty about the treatment scum in the EDL/BNP recieve at the hands of those members of the UAF that do take part in violence. The people in these organisations disgust me (not just from a political stand point, but also as a football fan) and IMO deserve everything they get.

When I see on the news that UAF has been involved in 'clashes' with racist scum, I do cringe, as I know it cheapens our cause, but I also understand that if you are provoked to a certain point, it is almost impossible not to react in that sort of situation. Also, these clashes always seem to be comical with UAF throwing things like eggs, not really thuggery is it?

It bothers me that some of you lot are teachers.

I have to say, it does make you wonder.

Personally, I do not let my political leanings interfere with my teaching. Politics has no place in the classroom IMO, however being a history teacher, my students are taught about the dangers and evils of fascism/empire/racism anyway.

I hope in the interests of balance that you also teach your kids about the dangers of communism.

From memory I believe Stalin was responsible for over 20 million deaths, whilst quite recently 3000 chinese students were butchered in Tianamen Square..... . I could go on, but you're the history teacher so I am sure you could find plenty of examples of suffering under communism.

Yes, it gets taught in Y9/10 IIRC.

Tends to be Soviet communism though, very rare that China and The Great Leap Forward is studied, mores the pity.

You are 100% correct JB, we do, although not to the same degree that we look at far right extremism; Stalin's pogroms, Ukrainian famine, the 'five year plans', the revolution are all studied to some degree. However, this is mostly studied at A-Level from my experience. We recently ditched our Cold War syallabus as well so we don't unfortuantly look at China/Cuba/N.Korea etc which is a real shame as these topics are fascinating.

Because I'm passionate about something?

Because I'm not a 'robot' and don't fit the traditional stereotype of a dowdy teacher who spends their entire time marking etc?

Because I don't want my children (when I have them) to grow up in a far right Britain?

Because I have 'normal' weekends of football and pubs?

Regardless of what you think Ponty, being a member of UAF does not conflict with my job. I can happily employ all government initiatives such as 'Every Child Matters' whereas those teachers who are members of the BNP (and there are some who have been recently 'outed') obviously cannot. Plus, as I've already posted, I never let my political views cloud my teaching as that would be irresponsible to the pupils. I give equal weight to the dangers of Communism and Fascism and would never ever dream of forcing my opinions or views on pupils...I'm a professional, the clue is in the name.

Good, as long as it is taught that extreme left wing idealogies are as undesirable as extreme right wing idealogies.

Back to the point though...the EDL are not the BNP. The BNP are a legitimate political party, whilst the EDL are a load of footie casuals who don't fancy getting banged up for a tear up. They can now mob up without fear of the treatment that they get on any given saturday. In the pictures of the Stoke meet, the amount of stone island, CP, HL, Lacoste and Prada on show looked like the lads on an average home game outside the Plume.

If you're all worried about violence, I guess there will be more chance of serious disorder on Feb the 14th.

The UAF thing never occured to me, to be honest.

It was Ghandalf I believe who said something once that stayed with me.

'an eye for an eye, makes us both blind'

I began this afternoon jesting and admittedly said some nonsense, albeit it intentional. Offending anyone was not my intention, if offence has been taken then I apologise.

Bollo*s.

I also live in Staffordshire and taught at Stoke College for long enough to know that simply not true which is why the 2nd largest party on the council is the BNP and places like Scabby Abbey are no go areas for non whites.

Then again, as your pathetic ramblings on this site have shown, you are a clueless cu*t at best.

No offence VFTP (yeah right) but you are coming across as a bit of a coward.

I lived and worked all over Stoke during my student years, including Abbey Hulton and Cobridge. No area was 'no-go' despite what you say. the only place i dont really like going was Bentilee, but that isn't that bad really and i know people who live there and bring up their children there.

I would never be afraid of where i live, and go wherever i want any time day and night and without fear. the people, of all races, are friendly. You can even debate with EDL members (most of the time). I saw more violence in my years living in Salisbury.

You just come across as a middle-aged old complainer. I can imagine you now, hiding in your bedroom, general ly fearing for your life and worrying behind your keyboard.
