Couldn't make it today due to being injured in a work accident, but glad to be through.

Trouble it means yet another league game being re-arranged (Hartlepool I think), thankfully it didn't go to a replay!

Due to illness I couldn't go. Hope the person who had my ticket enjoyed the game :(

Nice to be in the hat for next round. Sounded good in the second half until the Ipswich goal when we fell apart.

Great Result. Delighted.

Say what you want about Wotton, but its not coincidence that they overran us and nearly scored the equaliser after he went off

I think they overran us and nearly scored the equaliser because Lancashire came on.

And yes, there is a difference.

It is so much more tense listening on the radio - horrible - I shall give my van a damn good thrashing tomorrow!!!

Clutch went on the A303 then had to wait 2 hours for the RAC

Good to see my rituals for Saints winning work from a distance of 100miles!

Good result sounded like a really good cup tie both sides having spells of superiority. wouldn't be Saints if did it the easy way & cruised to a comfortable 2-0 win. They certainly give your heart & nerves a good work out, roll on the 5th round draw tomorrow. COYR

Lancashires just not cutting it, is he ?

well probably not, but it was an unfortunate time to come on all ther same.

No time to get his bearings before Ipswich started beating on us.

Still we have to save Jaidi and Perry for the next cup round because Lancashire is far far too risky against whatever good side we'll be playing.

Get in

Skates next please, would be nice to play them before they cease to exist , just so we can set the record straight :)

Thing is, i don't think we would set the record straight.

This targetting of Lancashire is absolutely ridiculous and not really worth further comment, except to say that anyone who seriously thinks about blaming him for anything this afternoon having not actually been at the game, is a bit head-mental IMO.

Ouch! Unlucky Ron.

There are very few things in life that make my heart beat like Saints on the radio. Stuff that wouldn't even prompt the tiniest raising of the eyebrow on telly or at the match sounds like a sitter on the wireless!

yes i agree, we concede and Lancashire is on the pitch = must be his fault

When does .comsaint's trial start?

And will he be representing himself?

Your Honour: I would just like to say in my defence that I posted the fact that we had kept a clean sheet thus far until the 90th minute when suddenly - my fingers slipped on the keyboard & I mistakenly typed "another clean sheet" when in reality - I meant to type "another clean sweep" - a reference to our back back four mopping up nicely. I apologise to all members of the forum for opening my gob prematurely - and thus causing an instant jinx (as per usual with Saints) - but as it happens - we did win anyway - and I therefore ask the moderator's to review my continued membership of SWF with leniency and compassion before banning me indefinitely. Furthermore - I promise - from this day forward - to never gob off about 'clean sheets' or anything to do with goals/the game - I will just shut up - remain quiet - and post match photos whilst the game is going on.

Do we know for sure if Lancashire was to blame for the goal, or are we just sticking the boot in to are resident punch bag. Fair enough have a go if he was to blame, but until someone who's been to the game comments on it then give him a little slack.

I really hope we follow this up and beat brentford...we have the option of fielding an even better team next week...

both the brentford and stockport games, get back on track in the league

LOL at the piety.

Simple fact of the matter is, he seems to have a 'mare every time he comes on. At least he didnt get sent off - an improvement of sorts.

First game I've missed in ages - gutted.

great result though, ipswich are no pushovers, they've really picked up of late.

tbf i think the team we have now would do better in the championship than the lot we had last season.

I guess that's mainly down to the management though....!

unbelievable that we've won this without the likes of fonte/hammond/harding/connolly etc - who are some of our best players.

great times at the moment.

Excellent.

I'd vote for probation because your posts are normally good, because I don't think you have any "previous", and because you posted some great piccies today.

But not even Rumpole of the Bailey could help you if you do it again. ;)

I'll send you the bill for cleaning my underwear this week. Better still, I'll send you the underwear.
