OldNick Posted 19 January, 2010 Share Posted 19 January, 2010 'I've been told that there are three bids on the table for Pompey. One is a Thai group, one is a Russian guy whose name I've been told but won't repeat on here (he's very, very wealthy though - we're talking multiple billions) and the third is in all likelihood not arabs but Hong Kong Chinese - again mega Billions. Good to see what Stuey said - that mega rich investors wouldn't be lining up to buy Pompey - coming true isn't it? He's a genius that Stuey' Guess the poster competition......and there's loads more for you all to giggle at. I believe Nick Nack (I think) has quoted Mr Corp Ho from a while ago on the Pompey Thread, the Stuey in question being our very own and much loved RomseySaint. Clapham Saint Posted 19 January, 2010 Share Posted 19 January, 2010 The one with a link to Pom*ey fans claiming that Al Fahim is 10 x richer than Abramovic and a Trillionaire is still my personal favourite.
StuRomseySaint Posted 19 January, 2010 Share Posted 19 January, 2010  The funny thing is they still genuinely believe that an investor is going to come in and save them before administration, which is a joke. Why would you buy a club £90m in debt, transfer embargo, limited fanbase, limited capacity stadium, no training ground, wages running at 90% of turnover... ... when you could. a) Buy the club for peanuts when they are in administration. b) Buy another club with much better facilities, prospects, fanbase and tradition for a fraction of the cost. They are deluded.
