To clear up the Away Goals thing :

These are the results of last season's JPT Southern Area Final :

Southern Final

Luton 1-1 Brighton 17-02-2009

Brighton 0-0 Luton 20-01-2009

As you can see, it was 1-1 on aggregate and the Second leg went to penalties :

Football League Trophy - Southern Final second leg - KO 19:45

Luton 1 (1) - 1(1) Brighton

Craddock 2

Forster 20

Aggregate score 1 - 1

Luton win 4 - 3 on penalties

Isnt he on loan somewhere? Forest Green Rovers?

Powell on loan to a club struggling at the bottom of the Conference? Don't be a f**king retard.

Forest Green can do much better than that.

Not at all? Seems like an unfair advantage to MK Dons tonight in that case.

Well it works in our favour having the second leg at home. I'd take a draw/win this evening back to ours.

No, no relevance of away goals at all. As per last season's Southern Area Final, above. It couldn't be any clearer (unless they've changed the rules, which they haven't).

How does that "unfair advantage" logic work ? We both play home and away, we both know there's no difference in goals scored home or away if we end up level on aggregate, and we get to take any tie-breaking penalty shoot-out at St Mary's.

The only way it would be an unfair advantage to MK would be if there was no second leg, in which case a discussion about away goals would be somewhat pointless anyway...

weird question i dont have time to go home before the game, so will be bringing with me a rucksack with a laptop and stuff in it, that will be ok to take in the stadium yeah, or do i need to find a locker at the railway station ?

Doubt you'll get it in the ground, you could always leave it in someone's car ?

]My point was actually that there have been no "double" away goals ever in the history of football' date=' and it's a stupid inaccurate phrase that means nothing and is utterly misleading[/b'], :smt015 but that's a useful link nevertheless.

In the event of scores being level: -

14.4.1 at the end of ninety minutes’ play in all rounds apart from the Final; and

14.4.2 after the conclusion of the two legs in each Area Final,

the winner shall be determined by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark in accordance

with the Laws of Association Football.

So no away goals rule at all, then ?!

Yeah, I know, I never said anything different.

I was merely reinforcing your post by providing some evidence, which you have kindly copied & pasted into this post.

If anyone in London is wondering where to watch this, the Famous 3 Kings pub in West Kensington (right next to the West Ken tube station) always gets a decent crowd and good atmosphere!

Are you going there tonight m8? Anyone else up for a london meet?

Hmmm

Fonte captain.

We could regret the choice of full backs..... but apart from that , this could be a good team. I quite like the look of the midfield.

I really hope Mills take's his chance tonight. Pard's has been quoted recently saying that he's concerned about his progress....so tonight will go a long way in showing pard's if he has a future with us or not.

i've always thought he's had ability.

Saw Mills playing LB for the reserves last season. Looked excellent in that match, some great bombing reserves. Was well over a year ago though and against Swansea reserves. Thomas is better than James IMO, so not all that bothered there.

No body else I guess

Except for Wotton, who was captain at Plymouth for ages. And Davis, who was our captain for the majority of the season. And also Thomas and Perry who have both had captain status in games for this club and others. So yeah, nobody else really ;)

He was talking about the fullbacks not the captain.

Anyone else disappointed for Waigo that he hasnt got a start considering his previous input to this cup run! Bart really deserved to keep his spot as well IMO.

Bit worried with that team really I suspect our midfield to struggle a bit and Mills will probably get a bit of a roasting so hope he can come through this ok!

Well, I would've thought the fullbacks would be the obvious choices, apart from maybe James at RB, although Pards has said that he'll be taking a more midfield role.

Bart, Aaron Martin, Papa, Holmes and Saga on bench

Interesting to see Saga on the bench, might add something to the Pato leaving rumour. I wonder if he'll be put on or if he's just there to give us an attacking option other than Papa?

Official Line Up:

Davis

Thomas - Fonte© - Perry- Mills

Antonio - Wotton - Schneiderlin - James - Lallana

Lambert.

4-5-1 as expected then. 1-1 is my prediction.

Why does Pardew have to Tinker he played Holmes last game now he plays Antonio

I think because Antonio caused there LB no end of problems in the game at SMS...

Fair play to a) Pardew for giving him a second chance and b) Saga for earning it. Three decent options on the bench there with the last three. Nothing wrong with Bart or Martin, but I doubt they'd change the match.

Holmes is not match fit. He hadn't played for a year before saturday.

If that was the case why play him for so long on saturday .

Just think we should try keeping the same players if possible

We're looking good on Sky, we seem to have outnumbered MK Dons fans by a country mile!!

Such a **** poor turn out from MK Dons, let's turn this into a home game!
