Thedelldays Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 seems like we are doing OK with kelvin to thanks at times.. not really up lifting considering we find ourselves the lowest postion in decades... after watching the last couple of games and listening to this..we just seem 'weak'... dont know what others think?
dubai_phil Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 Sounds like it is the old head who isn't up to the speed of the game. Although as he has hardly had any pitch time it's not a surprise. What to do? Maybe should have given him 30 mins and got him up to speed for Saturday, now we face the choice of BWP or Peckhart which is tough as DMG isn't really in the game either
Guest Hacienda Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 Good to see that "Lowe's body of men, 10000 strong" are out in force at SMS.

I think we try hard but simply aren't good enough, strong enough or organised enough. Viva Lowe's revolution.
Thedelldays Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 I think we try hard but simply aren't good enough, strong enough or organised enough. Viva Lowe's revolution. I would go with that.... it seems that other teams have figured us out already... I did believe in the new era....sadly, I think I was wrong to
John B Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 What would be the reaction if we won from here?
Saint Martini Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 Doesn't sound good at all. DMG & John are not in it at all. My suggestions Pekhart on for John and Mills for DMG. Move Surman to AML, and Dyer to AMR with Pekhart upfront.
Thedelldays Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 Dare i say it...arry was right when he made a point to lowe about kids not being the key to this league...

Case was having a mini dig at the fans not baying for blood with a shout for a penalty on John when Et'o got one last night for Barca in identical situation. I think we may actually be a little too nice rather than weak. nice football, nice ground, nice crowd, We need to become a mean machine
dubai_phil Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 Dare i say it...arry was right when he made a point to lowe about kids not being the key to this league... But it's SJ who's causing most concern at the moment and where almost everyting is breaking down catching our guys out of position all the time......
instinct Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 my dads at the match - just texted me saying we need to score 4 to win, cause ipswich look like scoring every attack! our defence is so poor at the mo, QPR could have had 8! whats going on with skacel?? he must be one of our best players, he can play at left back and free up surman to score some more goals - hes not even mentioned as injured or in the squad. i'll be happy if we survive this season...

It seems a trait of our academy to produce "Mr Wu's" rather than "Mr T's"

Relatively speaking (i.e compared to the last couple of games) it's not too bad. We're not losing 1-0 and we still have all 11 men!! From the commentary it seems like we need is better contributions from our strikers to convert some decent build-up play. I expect to see Pekhart and/or BWP sooner rather than later
badgerx16 Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 What would be the reaction if we won from here? Jammy gits would probably cover it
Guest Hacienda Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 I would go with that.... it seems that other teams have figured us out already... I did believe in the new era....sadly, I think I was wrong to I love the way we play football and love the idea of home grown youngsters. That said, it's been obvious from pre-season that we are weak on the flanks and don't have enough goals in the team. I've always thought he'd go down but we must stick with these principles if we are ever going to rise again.

RoswellSaint Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 What would be the reaction if we won from here? I think we would all be very happy
simo Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 Would anyone take the point now? No never!:axe:
alpine_saint Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 An awful lot of chickens coming home to roost, and Lowe's footballing theories lie in tatters. "Total football" is all well-and-good, but you need the players to make it work. We have mediocre players, and its too easy for the opposition to sus us out. We are going to lose tonight, and we will be relegated in May next year.
John B Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 is it the defence which is poor or the pressure they are under because we are weak in midfield Well I think it must be the whole team bar Davis. One Poster says there is a problem with the Attack another with the Defence another with midfield
Guest Hacienda Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 The fans are voting on Lowe's revolution by the attendance.
dubai_phil Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 Well I think it must be the whole team bar Davis. One Poster says there is a problem with the Attack another with the Defence another with midfield Just repeating what Cope & Case have been saying since about 18 mins.
Saint Martini Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 Well I think it must be the whole team bar Davis. One Poster says there is a problem with the Attack another with the Defence another with midfield But none of us is actually watching the game. (Well, maybe one or two are posting on here with fancy mobile phones from St. Mary's).
Jez Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 We are going to lose tonight, and we will be relegated in May next year. In your opinion of course Alpine
RoswellSaint Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 Case was having a mini dig at the fans not baying for blood with a shout for a penalty on John when Et'o got one last night for Barca in identical situation. I think we may actually be a little too nice rather than weak. nice football, nice ground, nice crowd, We need to become a mean machine Think you are right. Chris Perry seemed to have some meanness about him in the WBA game at the end of last season (Don't get many opportunities to see the games!), was that a one off? After that, who else is there? We can get somewhere with a young team but not with a young and nice team.
Rander Posted 17 September, 2008 Posted 17 September, 2008 What would be the reaction if we won from here? Annoyed most likely.
