hamster Posted 17 January, 2010 Posted 17 January, 2010 Why don't we loan Saga to Pompey and take a peppercorn fee for him and his wages? It would keep him match fit and we might need that with our fixture congestion. Also puts him in the bigger Prem shop window and builds a good relationship, with both player and the club. Just a thought.
Yate Saint Posted 17 January, 2010 Posted 17 January, 2010 They still have the problem of a transfer embargo.
hamster Posted 17 January, 2010 Author Posted 17 January, 2010 Does the embargo cover free loans too then? Sorry not been following it too closely.
Nexstar Posted 17 January, 2010 Posted 17 January, 2010 after yesterday, why dont we play him? Because he's far too inconsistent? 10 goals from his 13 games as a loanee, then only 9 from his 55 appearances as a full squad member. We need a proven goalscorer for this league, Jackson or Barnard would be ideal.
Matthew Le God Posted 17 January, 2010 Posted 17 January, 2010 Does the embargo cover free loans too then? Sorry not been following it too closely. A transfer embargo means no player transfer/loan/free can be registered. Defeats the point of an embargo if you let some through.

egreog Posted 17 January, 2010 Posted 17 January, 2010 When was the last time he even made the bench?......get rid of him asap and use his over inflated wages to pay a couple of grafters who WANT to play for the club.........trouble is nobody wants him....... literally!!
Ewell Posted 17 January, 2010 Posted 17 January, 2010 we had nothing going forward yesterday, would have been interesting to throw him on as a genuine striker rather than lallana who plays better behind the front two We had a far better striker than Saga sat on the bench! In any case I thought Saga had actually left already?
cadiz saint Posted 17 January, 2010 Posted 17 January, 2010 Poopey would need another loan for his wages!!
Clifford Nelson Posted 17 January, 2010 Posted 17 January, 2010 The eastern european sport press reported Saga to have left already before xmas as far as I can remember. I don't think they made it up, and I can't understand why Saints hasn't confirmed it.
Arizona Posted 17 January, 2010 Posted 17 January, 2010 Pompey have already taken over Saga, there's a thread in the Lounge.
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 17 January, 2010 Posted 17 January, 2010 There is a rumour circulating the dark corners of this forum that he has been smuggled across the Channel and is now back in his native Poland and that the whole thing is a massive secret.
