Why not loan saga to Pompey

Why don't we loan Saga to Pompey and take a peppercorn fee for him and his wages?

 

It would keep him match fit and we might need that with our fixture congestion. Also puts him in the bigger Prem shop window and builds a good relationship, with both player and the club.

Because he's far too inconsistent? 10 goals from his 13 games as a loanee, then only 9 from his 55 appearances as a full squad member. We need a proven goalscorer for this league, Jackson or Barnard would be ideal.

A transfer embargo means no player transfer/loan/free can be registered.

 

Defeats the point of an embargo if you let some through.

The eastern european sport press reported Saga to have left already before xmas as far as I can remember. I don't think they made it up, and I can't understand why Saints hasn't confirmed it.
