alpine_saint Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Another top-ten team we are floundering against. Seems like we probably have reached our table level for this season...
ART Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Saints may be the Man City of League One but most of you lot on this chat sound like the Simon Cowells of the Internet. This ain't the XFactor where players have 5 minutes to do their thing. It beggars belief some of the comments being made. We all know ParDieu plays every game in two halves. One S H I T E half and one where we destroy the opposing team. Come on here at the end of the game and play XFactor.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Davis another fine save keeping us in it.
Under Weststand Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Davis keeps us in it again great save
sussexsaint Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Great pics .com by the way thanks for posting mate
S-Clarke Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 just wide - sounds like it was a good save again from kelvin. time to inject some directness and pace into the side i think, as we're not threatening them at all.
Dr Who? Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 This is normally the 10 minutes we turn the screw!!
.comsaint Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Where are these pics coming from? The game itself.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 AP needs to make a change very soon. They are starting to get on top and threaten too much.
St Landrew Posted 16 January, 2010 Author Posted 16 January, 2010 His belatedness and choice of subs is as sh*t as Burley's sometimes I think that's a little harsh. We've only just got to 64 minutes. I expect changes soon. Burley would leave it until 85 minutes.
ericofarabia Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Another great save from Super Kelv not that i knew much about it as Saints Player dropped out as the guy shot  A dodgy free kick to them dangerous position eventually over the bar.
Under Weststand Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Wycombe 1-1 Charlton, Another chance goes begging for Millwall
SNSUN Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 I've had enough now, getting cross. I DEMAND you to score, Southampton Football Club. Did it work?
Toadhall Saint Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 The game itself. As per previous games if I recollect?
S-Clarke Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 surely they're going to tire soon?... they played 130 mins in midweek, and we've been having a good bit of training in spain with no game since eary jan!
sotonjoe Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Another top-ten team we are floundering against. Seems like we probably have reached our table level for this season... What a knee-jerk reaction. Our quality will have been unsettled by the changes we've made to the team. As AP said, "you have to take a little step backwards to go forwards". Start judging the 'new' team a few games down the line, not 3/4 of the way through their first game.
.comsaint Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 As per previous games if I recollect? Indeed.
martyg1950 Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Based entirely on what I'm hearing, sounds to me like if we'd gone there with the 'old' defense we'd probably be at least 2 down by now. New guys have to settle in and learn about each other - only to be expected - hugely brave call to make so many changes all at once. Can only get better IMHO. Would love a win, but atm, I'm a happy camper :-)
Saint Fan CaM Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Saints corner - great chance - make it count!
Glasgow_Saint Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 What a knee-jerk reaction. Our quality will have been unsettled by the changes we've made to the team. As AP said, "you have to take a little step backwards to go forwards". Start judging the 'new' team a few games down the line, not 3/4 of the way through their first game. Oh god not "new team" excuses again! Jesus
Toadhall Saint Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Indeed. Good man - brightens up the place.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Millwall have made a change. Perhaps AP was waiting for that to happen before deciding which way to go?
S-Clarke Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Harris on for millwall - good old pro, knows where the net is.
Window Cleaner Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Oh god not "new team" excuses again! Jesus How come there's never any golf on Saturday afternoon then Glasgow, give us all a break if there was.
trousers Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Oh god not "new team" excuses again! Jesus Can I be the first to use the word 'gel' ?
Johnny Shearer Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Oh god not "new team" excuses again! Jesus To be fair apart from Harding its a new back line. I'm surprised by that as its a risk to play 3 players who have been at the club together only a few days. However attacking wise should be causing some problems.
Window Cleaner Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Harris on for millwall - good old pro, knows where the net is. chopper harris, now there's a name for a footballer
ericofarabia Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 listening to Millwall taters .... innit Haven't actually mentioned any Saints players names after a few minutes even though we've had the ball
Glasgow_Saint Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 How come there's never any golf on Saturday afternoon then Glasgow, give us all a break if there was. Too much snow - besides I would play early so as not to miss the excitment that L1 "man city" offer
.comsaint Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Somebody stings the Millwall keeper's hands with a shot ffs!
sotonjoe Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Oh god not "new team" excuses again! Jesus So adding three strangers, plus one player who has been out long term, doesn't unsettle a team at all?
alpine_saint Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 Seems to me AP is playing for the draw, despite his big words before the match about a win being important.
S-Clarke Posted 16 January, 2010 Posted 16 January, 2010 we've been bloody lucky today, really frustrating performance. shoddy attacking performance, sounds like we've just come here to contain millwall.
