I emailed David Luker asking if he could rectify my problem & his reply was:

So should be ok. Even though I can only see 1 away game linked to my customer number on my order history he can see 6 on his system.

He told me the system only showed 1 away game for me, but I have been to 7. A mate usually buys the tickets and invariably he is told that he only needs to show his own ST to buy the tickets (however many). If they were going to introduce ticket distribution based on ST purchases for away games then they should always insist on the ST customer numbers for each ticket otherwise what is the point? He also did not answer my question about how many Exeter tickets a ST holder can buy. If the same guy who has been buying our tickets can get (for example) 3 Exeter tickets then great. If not - it is a bit of a ****-up.

Whenever they have done a priority scheme it has been based on tickets linked to ST number, this is nothing new. I always make sure I supply them with all ST numbers when I purchase away tickets.

It will be one per ST holder to begin with. My only concern is that the result of the ticket ballot is so close to the game.

As others have said, people seem to be too lazy to apply, and every time I have written in I've got all the tickets required.

My point is I always do this too but for some reason the people in the call centre appear not to be linking tickets to ST numbers.

Going down to the ticket office tomorrow to hand the application letter in so will find out more then anyway.

Andy, if you see this, there's not point in bothering to get me a ticket. Far too much hassle. I'll hopefully be down for the Leeds game in March.

Was going to give you a ring and explain, I asked all the season ticket holders I know and they're all either going to Exeter or haven't been to the three required away games.

Might just use my train ticket to visit you if I don't get a ticket from the ballot!

Whenever I buy tickets I always write the ST numbers and names on a bit of paper before I go to the ticket office and just hand it over. Thought that would be pretty obvious to most people.

Does anyone know if you can apply for more than one ticket per letter? Say I've got three ST numbers and want three tickets.

David Luker told me earlier to put all the names & tickets you require on 1 letter.

EXETER City have dismissed reports that the capacity in the away end for a forthcoming match has been cut as a result of the crushing incident involving Leeds United fans.

The Southampton FC website says the terrace allocation for the St James's Park clash had been lowered from 800 to 500 due to the problems on Saturday

Francis Farley, the operations director for the Grecians, described an announcement as a "misunderstanding".

She said the club had delayed sending some of the tickets to the Saints so all options could be considered when the safety advisory group meets on Thursday afternoon.

It's hardly fair if people who have only been to three away games get tickets ahead of people who have been to all the aways.

I wonder if the three away game figure is used because around 800 people have been to 3 aways (and had their ST ticket number used to buy all three tickets)?

Its always tricky when allocations are so small, but when you've been up to Leeds, Hartlepools or Carlise you'd hope to get one.

Seems likely, they always used to stagger it from 6 aways downwards, so if that "3" is the cutoff, that's the last increment where fewer than 800 people are eligible. To my recollection, Saints haven't had a "ballot" for tickets since we were at St Mary's - on every occasion where it was possible for there to be an oversubscription to an away section, the "write-in" option has dissuaded enough people from applying, and usually a few end up on general sale anyway due to there being a shortfall in the number eligible to apply.

On that note, I'm sure everyone will be delighted to discover that despite being eligible for a ticket each, me and the missus are not applying, we're at the other end of the country the following morning. All the more for you lot then. Well, two.

+ 1 :(

My trips to Huddersfield, Stockport and Leeds can be scrubbed off the 800 figure as well.

Hope my "ticket" finds a good home :D

This is very annoying, one of the few games I can actually make this season and you need to have been to 6... hmm might be sitting in the wrong end for this match!

Just spotted on the Exeter site...

http://www.exetercityfc.co.uk/page/OfficialWord/0,,10436~1940159,00.html

Exeter City Football Club having reviewed the incident that happened in the away end at the Leeds Utd game on Saturday 16th January today made a series of recommendations to the Safety Advisory Group which have been endorsed.

From the next home game against Carlisle on Tuesday the Club will reduce the capacity of its St. James' Rd end (the away terrace) from 1053 to 900 for at least until the rest of the season.

In addition the club advised the Safety Advisory Group of new procedures that it intends to introduce regarding stewarding the away end.

These recommendations were made by the club in line with its emphasis on safety at all times.
