Interesting how he is putting emphasis on his future with Southampton.

"My future will be bright with Southampton" etc.

Contrary to what the Lowe haters would have us believe, it does look like player morale is actually pretty good at the club even tho we aren't winning...

Still, I think that after this news has just been announced it looks like we will be playing Perkhart and John up fron tonight which might make McG wish he hadn't signed! ;)

Im afraid it doesnt mean anything. As we all know contracts are worth nowt. All this does is secure his future for the time being or increase his value when someone comes in.

(sorry if I sound negative :))

Wait until Apline reads this and he will say it's only until January window opens so taht we can sell him for more!!

Good to read and good for the club that the players want to sign on for a long period.

That's an interesting comment, particularly considering I have yet to see anyone mention that player morale isn't good at the moment.

On the contrary, even though many are unsure about the merits of the current set up, I think we can all see that the team are playing with gusto and actually look as though they're busting a gut.

I'm sure they're not overly happy with losing 4 out of 5 games (as would any professional), but they all certainly seem to be enjoying the experience and giving 100%.

But anyway don't let that get in the way of just making stuff up.:toimonster:

Go McGoldrick with your pace and powerful shots! (not)

Mr Lowe - please can John play tonight? and Skacel so that Surman can go into midfield. (No point asking JP'uppet' afterall)....

WE NEED MEN

Wow, yet more spin from the OS. Do they think we are all muppets who think that contracts mean he will be with us in 2011. Get real. Contracts are worth nothing. If he bangs in 10 goals between now and January he will be sold without question.

Yes but dont forget he cant be sold no as the window is closed and as contracts are worth nothing these days, it still means nothing

Either that or McG realises that no other club would want him, and cannot beleive we are paying him until 2011. I will add that I used to regulalry boo Beattie at The Dell when he first signed...so I may not be the best judge of striking talent.

I remember nobody complaining about player's morale. Are you making it up as you go along?

On tonight's performance ....is this money well spent? ....I think not

Pekhart showed very clearly what quality really is when he came on ...and TBH it was a stark contrast to the mediocre efforts of McG

Agree with Musesaint. He's been shocking when i've seen him, but I assumed i'd just missed something as he is our top scorer. But when Pekhart came on I could see that McGoldrick was just crap.
