Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 12 January, 2010 Posted 12 January, 2010 Seeing how popular the Brian Stock thread is on the MB, maybe posters would like the opportunity to discuss their own favourite stock. Myself, I like chicken stock, it is versatile and has none of the overpowering taste of beef stock.
Seany S Posted 12 January, 2010 Posted 12 January, 2010 I like to make chicken stock from the carcass of a roast chicken, with some celery, a clove or two of garlic, an onion chopped, a carrot, a bouquet garni of thyme, sage and bay, some peppercorns and a sprinkling of Maldon sea salt. Pour over a glass of white wine and a few pints of water, bring to the boil them simmer for 40 mins. Strain the clear liquid and cool, you can then freeze it or whatever.
Smirking_Saint Posted 12 January, 2010 Posted 12 January, 2010 I personally like lock, stock and two smoking barrells
badgerx16 Posted 12 January, 2010 Posted 12 January, 2010 My least favourite would have to be Stock, ( Aitken and Waterman ).
RonManager Posted 12 January, 2010 Posted 12 January, 2010 Stockbridge is nice, nestled in the Test Valley, 'neath chalky downs, by trout rich streams.

Colinjb Posted 12 January, 2010 Posted 12 January, 2010 Can't beat a bit of Tailstock. The backbone of lathe based industry.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 12 January, 2010 Posted 12 January, 2010 Laughing stock. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=14620
Wiltshire Saint Posted 12 January, 2010 Posted 12 January, 2010 I don't like stock, but am a big fan of c*ck.
