In all fairness Davies was a quality left winger at Yeovil and destroyed Forest in the play-offs.

 

It's clear AP isn't convinced about Holmes, so there may be some mileage in this

 

I wonder.

 

Saw him play for Yoevil a couple of times on the TV and for Wales if memory serves. At the time he looked like a player that had really benefited from leaving us and getting some experience. Don't know what happened to him at Forest though.

Judging by the development of the thread, by post 130 we would have got Davies playing more first team games than Pulis.

my brother in law is a ST holder at Forest and he says "he's good, especially at League One level, but a massive confidence player and once he was out of the team at Forest he looked a bit average and we are trying to get rid of him"

Davies' squad number at Brighton was possibly 23 (but also found reference to 19, 23 is Adam Virgo), can't find what his number was at Saints - he was in the Cup Final squad so if anyone can put their hand on the programme (buggered if I know where mine is) it should give his number. His profile on Saints page comes up if you Google "arron davies southampton" as being there 8 hours ago.

 

Found an old programme, 23 was Davies' squad number when he was with us. Make of that what you will.

However, I would imagine that all of these FLi base websites pool their squads from a central database. I expect there was a glitch when removing him from the Forest Squad today when being announced as released.
