He was. I remember seeing him play v Cov Reserves at Nuneaton back in 2004. Handy little player.

Not a fake. But most likely a simple mix-up with the WEb Hosts. Their database includes all players. Just re-activated him as a SFC player by accident I imagine

If it is a fake, someone has either uploaded it to the saintsfc.co.uk server, OR there is crossover between the Nottm Forest/Brighton official sites and ours, seeing as they use the same provider, which would be my best bet.

No it hasn't, the OP link still works and Davies is number 23.

There was nothing in that link that could make the saints site insert data into a player profile page. They've taken the page down, even if you follow the original link, so there really isn't anyway that it could have been a fake.

That I don't know, only Bailey does.

 

Plenty of websites have 'live' pages that aren't directly linked from within the publicly visible site, but exist so that people can navigate to them if given the direct URL. Or, as seems to be the case, new/modified pages being edited, before a link to it goes live.

Was part of the Yeovil team that got to the Play-off final a few years ago and then the next season was a key part of the Forest team that got automatic promotion.

Maybe it is true. But the way it happened earlier was very strange.

 

i.e. At one point you could only see Davies if you used the link in the OP. If you tried to get to the same page any other way he didn't show. I think that would raise suspicions in most people.

How can you possibly have a link whose underlying URL is completely correct (in terms of it's domain) that can take you to a spoofed web page created with photoshop? You could only do that if you have the ability to insert the spoof page on the domains host. I seem to remember you shouting "fake" on another thread and then having to back pedal.

In all fairness Davies was a quality left winger at Yeovil and destroyed Forest in the play-offs.

 

It's clear AP isn't convinced about Holmes, so there may be some mileage in this
