I felt sorry for the ordinary fans. The old boys who've supported the club since long before the rivalry really took off. They must wonder what the hell is going on.

I'd bet none were complaining when they got promoted, won the FA Cup and got into Europe. I'd also bet they only feel they're mecenaries now they're in the ****, weren't Prosinecki, Merson, Sheringham, Berger, Stone, etc. all mercenaries in those "pre Premiership" days when they accepted extortinate salaries that ultimately led to their present predicament?

I suggest that you get out more and talk to Football supporters from other teams then perhaps you will be able to post with more understanding
