Stock v Danns

Apologies for another thread but wanted views on both together.

 

Not seen either play (that I remember).

 

For those who know them;

 

Who would be the better signing for our side?

 

What are their comparative qualities?

 

Which is the stronger rumour?

- One is a RM the other a CM.

 

- Both sets of fans feel that they could play in the prem and both players linked at some stage (last 12 months) with prem sides.

 

- Danns been described as the "heart beat of the CP side"

 

- Stock been described as "Far too good for L1"

 

In summary if we sign both or either ill be v.happy as both are playing well in the CCC so should be real assets in L1.

stock is a local lad, went to the same secondary school as i did, just a couple of years older (strangely never stood out football wise) just cant see it, having been player of the season for doncaster last year and attracted premier league interest.....

Don't you think it's a little pointless?

 

I mean the only link to Danns was one line at the bottom of an article and the link to Stock was a thread started by a poster on here.

 

It would be great if one of both sign but at the moment I can't see any reason to think either will be signing sometime soon.

Actually a few posters have mentioned something who I trust (Simon Richards for one- very reliable.)

I take every rumour like that with a pinch of salt, I'm not sure who has a track record as being a bit of a WUM.

 

If you say he's trustworthy then it's enough for me. Would be a fantastic signing if we pull it off.

He lived up in strawberry fields near the driving range. Would love to see stock playing for us, especially a local lad of his ability.

I believe he was an admin on the old board. Ive spoken to him via pm in the past. I believe it. I also have a contact at sms who told me this on wednesday but I didn't believe him

The Danns rumour came from the Palace site last night and I think there may also have been something on their local paper as well. The Stock one has had the odd mention but been readily dismissed until the last 24-48 hours.

 

Either or both would be fantastic, Danns was superb for Colchester at this level, as was Stock for both Bournemouth and Doncaster. Really want us to sign Ward though, I think that's who Pardew was referring to when he mentioned wanting to bring in a player that hadn't had such a good time at his current club.

Not just the rumour. Nobody seems to know who Brian Stock is! I'm sure I had heard of him but it's gone right out of my head, almost as if it was deleted.
