Dog Posted 9 January, 2010 Share Posted 9 January, 2010 Has anyone ever done one, and what was there experience? I am doing a 600' foot one in march off the top of a crane over a reservoir and I am not looking forward to it. Especially after watching this: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=931_1262944814
Master Bates Posted 9 January, 2010 Share Posted 9 January, 2010 You need to make sure the bungee rope is 605' foot.

Especially after watching this: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=931_1262944814 Done two, one from a tower thing near Cairns and one from a helecopter just outside Queenstown. Both events to be enjoyed more after the occasion than during!

StDunko Posted 9 January, 2010 Share Posted 9 January, 2010 I have done five jumps, (all in and around Queenstown in NZ). Fantastic fun, the higher the jump the better as the feeling of falling lasts longer.

pedg Posted 9 January, 2010 Share Posted 9 January, 2010 Be careful you don't end up blind from detached retinas. 600 ft he should be fine as the longer the bungee the slower the deceleration. When I did my helibungy it was a lot harder to even notice the bouncing.
hamster Posted 9 January, 2010 Share Posted 9 January, 2010 (edited) Ask Noel Edmunds. I remember that, quite a nasty business. Michael Lush iirc, lived in Hedge End. I worked with his Uncle who told me that the press intrusion was quite unbearable for the family. btw Dog, here's a bit of advice though not sure how you can ensure it doesn't happen to youi, DO NOT GET THE CORD WRAPPED AROUND YOUR NECK, this fella will tell you how much it hurts: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=afa_1183180824 ..and check that the other end is tied securely to the jumping platform, that helps: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=203_1183269671 Edited 9 January, 2010 by hamster
