Shearer's best days were in the 90s so Horseman pips him. Viera beats Keane as Keane is a prime ****.

 

I was hoping to think of someone better than Gary Neville but I can't.

 

Obviously, I doubt Niemi would have made it without the Saints link!

Indeed - when you actually look at the decade the choices are a bit more limited.

 

Drogba would trump Nisty IMO in terms of ability but he had two poor years prior to this one. Nisty was a machine every year he played for Man You.
