I think he has Lloyd James will now be in midfield

A player already at the club is not a replacement signing which is what Pardew said. James is also a very different type of midfielder to Mellis.

More signings this week blimey what happens when we run out of money?

At this rate a player a day and we'll have a bigger squad than all the division put together!

Not knocking it - but another player tomorrow, a win at Millwall, followed by yet another player on Monday.

Blimey this is worswe than when we were specualting who was going to leave last year!

There was a statement on twitter BEFORE the Otsemobor signing saying we'd have another player before Friday midday. Whether or not they meant Otsemobor I don't know.

I believe he is still looking for a midfielder, i am not sure we will see him tommorow though. The 'we will sign another player before friday' tweet was posted before the otsemobor signing was even released, before the news of any signing was released.

I think we can all rule this one out for the time being, according to danns twitter he is on the team bus on the way up to plymouth for tommorows game. Oh well!!

I just asked him whether he is joining Southampton, his response was...

ha ha I said reasonable questions, here's an answer tho I'm not saying yes I'm not saying no and I'm not saying maybe ha ha

Make of that what you will, I would suggest that means talks are ongoing, if he had no intention of coming here I am pretty sure he would rule it out.

I thought the Twitter came at 10.30 saying there was a signing to be announced at 11am

I am not exactly sure but the new signings tweets were definately after they said there would be another signing before friday.

player more likely to want to leave due to -10, and they will need money in.

Reading reports, (although I have no idea if there was any substance to the rumour) think he would be a great addition

did we sell players cheaply the instant we went into admin? not as far as I can

recall.

Once the season ended & transfers were possible, we sold some players: do the names Surman and McGoldrick ring a bell? Money kept SFC afloat long enough for Liebherr to be able to save the club.

His latest Twitter is that he's "very disappointed", possibly jumping the gun here but lets hope it's not due to the deal to us falling through!
maybe he's disappointed he's had to leave Palace?

He could have joined us, it was his choice not to agree our offer.

Perhaps he was at Griffin Park last night!!

ive heard we are back in talks with danns the best option imho

Agree with that would be better long term bet IMHO than Puncheon. Danns has better long term prospects & longevity if as we all hope we start to climb back up the leagues. Here's hoping.

danns is a quality player, i guess that means we'll go back to get Puncheon in the summer.

i always thought it would be too complicated to sort it in january.

He's a right midfielder than can play in central midfield, and he's hugely influential for Palace. He's the sort of player that can come straight intothe team and have a big impact, according to my (ever so gutted Palace supporting) mate.

he's the sort of midfielder we're crying out for...someone who can pass it and dictate play from the middle..and get himself into goal scoring positions.

i expect we'll now get him for a complete snip as well. excited by this one, another ''headline'' signing.
