I liked it. It made me smile. If he knows we have a song for him, that might encourage him to sign. Or not. :-)

One of my friends is a Palace supporter and is gutted at losing Fonte to us, but said that Danns is lazy and is believing his own hype.

Sounds like Lambert at the start of the season almost... reckon Pardew could knock that out of him if true and we end up buying him.

Just had a look as I'm bored at work eating my lunch, anyway his latest comments at 10pm is where are all these new people on my Twitter coming from, has my name been mentioned somewhere?

Me thinks on those comments he's not going anywhere!

Am appalling at this twitter/facebook/etc stuff. But I personally find sarcasam, joking, winking thing comments etc doesn't translate very well in the wriiten word. Maybe he was just being funny.

Did he travel on Dan(n) Air?

You're showing your age now Phil! ;-) Didn't they go under in the mid-90s? Mind you, they were great when they were around. I remember a brilliant flight from London to Dusseldorf - there was only me, my then girlfriend and an OAP on the flight and the very nice stewardess sat in the middle seats (it was a Fokker, if anybody knows the aircraft) where you face each other and plied us with drinks non-stop for 2 hours. Happy days. God bless you, Dan (D)Air...

Yes, there were a lot of Fokkers about in those days :D

Ah the days of the Empire....

I once flew on a Dan Air Comet to Venice. They were bad but TBH they made today's Gulf Air look wonderful:-)

Meanwhile, where's our man at Southampton International when we need him? Surely he could have let us know if it was a scheduled or chartered? How many were on board? Did Saga make it? (hahahaha). Somebody somewhere must have the passenger list hidden in a computer?

FFS if we can find out about Rupe's interviewing Wotte several months before he came back we can find out who got on a plane last night:D

Hmmm where is Eric? Is he still snowed in his cul-de-sac oop north? surely he could hack in somehow?

Does your latter quote mean you're now doubting your source? Confused.

No its just my bad English.

Heard yesterday it was a done deal thats all and I was just adding that he has not updated his twitter at all today which IMHO could be that he cant get on the internet in Spain ;-)

Apparently they have electricity, gas and supermarkets in Spain these days. Can't imagine why they haven't cracked the internet yet.

Is he not saying that maybe he has been very busy today, I hope we pull it off, arguing this I feel its clutching at straws!!!

Fair play. I'd imagine he'd probably be told not to put it on Twitter before the OS have had their moment as well! Fingers crossed that you're info is spot on.

doing so (we probably already are) the only team to spend multi millions to get out of division 3....

most other clubs that have done so, do on a fraction of what we spend

you don't need anything special to get out of L1, no disrespect to the teams - but Blackpool/Scunphorpe etc have proven that over the years.

What we're doing though is building a team that will compete at the right end of the CCC too. It's all well and good getting out of this legaue, but the money we're spending suggests we want to go straight into the promotion race of the CCC too.

So although our outlay this season may be large - it will probably be less over the next few years, as our team will already be full of the right amount of quality to compete.

I guess the other thing is that, if we are building a side that can compete well at CCC level, if they get more chance to gel, if they're not just thrown together if/when we go up.
