We had our 2nd bid accepted, however Danns did not accept his terms offered by the club and NC would not budge. Pity, but it's good to see we're standing tall and tough when it comes to player negotiations. Players need to WANT to come here for all the right reasons, not just to pick up a fat pay packet. His loss.

Well if it's true then sounds like NC did a good. Can't complain at that.

With Punch on board I don't think we have done at all bad..

Depending on how AP plays Punch, I think we will be pleasantly surprised by how our midfield will be transformed. I just hope all our other players will be able to keep up with Punch and Antonio when they break forward at pace! ;)

I've seen him play a few times as I've got mates who are Palace fans but, watching him again on TV right now, Danns definitely looks like just the sort of player we could do with right now. Very busy but skillful, composed and with an eye for goal. Shame.

You seem like the kind of guy who has mates who support Morton as well

Average. Carle looked better 2night IMO

Agree.

Felt Dann was rather wasteful with his distribution, and although he did get forward beyond the strikers he only threatened to score once - While he worked hard he did not seem to be a £2 million player.

It was that converted right back who stole the plaudits though ;)

Slightly off track - but I thought I saw on SSN this morning we had a Arsenal younster on loan for the month - forward - Sanchez something...but nothing on here, official site or Echo.

Anyone got any information?

Sanchez Watt

Quick and intelligent, Sanchez was another key member of Arsenal’s Under-18 double-winning side last season.

Equally comfortable on the wing or up front, the Londoner appeared in all eight of the Youth Cup fixtures and netted a brace in the Semi Final before striking in both legs of the Final.

Sanchez also continued his fine work for Neil Banfield’s Reserves during 2008/09 appearing eight times and scoring once, in the Gunners’ North London derby against Tottenham in April.

Competitive in the air and rapid on the floor, the wiry forward can play off the shoulder of the last defender but also provide an outlet as a more orthodox target man. Sanchez, full name Herschel Sanchez Watt, will hope to continue his steady second-string progress this season. (taken from Arsenal website http://www.arsenal.com/reserves-youth/players/sanchez-watt)

the administrator at Palace is saying that he will be trying to loan out players when the window opens next week so the wage bill can be lowered.

The account I read said that Saints had agreed a fee with the Palace administrator but that Danns didn't want to move to Saints (presumably egged on by Warnock) - so why would he want to move to us on a loan? Can the administrator really force a player to move on loan?

As useful as he undoubtebly is I wouldn't want a player who was forced to come here against his will. The administrator is running Palace so I guess he'd have a big say on such a move.
