I think most posters think he won't sign, but hope that he, or someone else will arrive.

 

Should we need any cover desperately later on in the season, we can always use the loan market......

I think Weston Saint is ITK. I think someone may have told him what AP's plans are for Puncheon (Playing CM.) If this is the case then I can't see us going for Danns as well.

 

i think you're right tbh.

 

even though Puncheon can play as a winger...he was deployed quite alot in the middle of the park for MK Dons.

 

When hammond is back, i think the midfield could look something like this:

Yes it has been suggested to me that he might play centre right midfield with Lallana on the left. MIGHT was the comment. Nothing was said about transfers in still to come or not. Pat has suggested on this thread that a second bid was made at 12pm Saturday. If so that is after the web site comment. Just may be this is still alive but I am not ITK on this matter

Looks like Warnock (I detest that guy) is boo-hooing about Saints putting in an offer and their Administrator taking the money. Frankly, he'll not be able to influence the deal if it's to be done as the money will talk in this case. So it looks to me like there's still some legs in the Danns transfer - could still be on for a last minute signing. And that would mean that we would see Punch out on the left most of the time - a perfect compliment to Antonio on the right...oppo defences will be completely battered!

Had to laugh at Warnock saying that Dann dropping down a division would be a retrograde step in his career. So Warnock is totally and utterly convinced that despite the deduction of 10 points and good players like Fonte leaving, the club won't be playing in the third division next season anyway?

 

Warnock's case is considerably weakened by Fonte coming to us. He obviously lacked ambition too. I wonder what Warnock tells players from the Premiership who he is after? It must be difficult to sell Crystal Palace to them as a career move, being as how they would be dropping a division.

If you were manager of Crystal palace would you not want to keep your best players I thought Pardew convinced Lallana to stay at SFC

As a manager I suppose Warnock can only think of the immediate problem and future planning is not relevant.

So Saints being a better prospect for Premiership football is of no concern to him and safeguarding his job.

The fact Danns may not be paid at Palace unless another player goes is not in the Warnock agenda.

gayyyyyyyy! :( tbf are 5 signings have brought what we needed, we have a great squad now but danns would have been a brilliant addition. we should have taken pardews words on OS as true and avoided this speculation, only led to disappointment about danns...

The deals do not have to be announced by 5pm. Just completed.

 

There will be a few transfers being annouced later on this evening.

 

Loan deals can also be done untill March.

Similarly, it is only English clubs that must complete signings by 5; foreign clubs have until 12. Therefore it is more than likely that Molyneux will have completed a move to Barcelona by midnight.
