Deserves a thread of its own. Would be a great signing. Has been one of Palace's best players this season.

 

Their local paper has mentioned a few times that we are interested in their Fonte articles.

 

Some fans on their forum think he is also due at Saints for a medical over the weekend.

He has a couple of blogs on youtube, seems like a nice bloke. HCDAJFU and I'd like to see him come here, although nothing on his twitter indicates he's on the move. Yes, I've been Neil Danns internet stalking.

Didn't think he was tough tackling. I always thought of him as similar to Lallana. Attacking midfielder who can play out wide. (With Danns favouring the right-hand-side)

It's not weird at all. Selling an average player for a much better play will improve the squad.

 

Just like when we replaced Rasiak with Lambert. Similar players but Lambert is far more effective.

Well obviously has a bit of a southampton connection with the pub in portswood, hopefully his uncle or whatever can put in a good word about the place and lets face it, it's not far drive from london.

 

Think he will do well here and hopefully he will see our ambition.

 

So, how long untill the first bell-end from SWF posts on his site potentially ruining a signing ??

He was really really highly rated when he was at Colchester, he was their star in L1 - he made a move to Birmingham and it didn't really happen for him.

 

Since he's gone to palace (and played more regular) he's been their best player. They all believe he's prem quality and you cannot argue that he is wayyyy too good for L1 - we are living a dream here guys, who'd have thought this last january? crazy world.

I don't want to get too excited about these two untill they sign, but I do agree - if we sign them both we will be flying.

 

We would start to look strong in nearly every position with decent players in their prime, can't ask for more really. Our first choice XI with those two in would be a match for most CCC sides let alone League one.

 

Just hope they both come off over the weekend, I don't like having to wait for signings. I'm so used to things going wrong last minute.

He is mates with Smith, forgot that he was still there, perhaps he will put a good word in.

 

Also, smith says about an embargo at palace stoping him renewing his contract ?? Anyone know anything about that ?

Not sure there is any connection, as the son of a Southampton Danns I have done quite a lot of the family tree, back to early 19th C havn't found any connection with Liverpool where I believe Neil is from. Still I have followed his carreer, the surname is pretty unusual, and he has always shown a lot of promise without quite breaking through would love to see him at SM just so my nipper can have his own name on his shirt and a players for the price of one.
